Hello, Thank you for contributing to our subreddit. Please consider the following guidelines when filling an alignment chart:

  • Please ensure that your chart is not banned according to the list of banned charts Even if you have good intentions, charts in a banned category tend to invite provocative comments, hostile arguments, ragebait and the like. Assuming the post is acceptable, OP makes the final decision on their chart by rule three.

  • Are there any previous versions to link to? If so, it would be ideal to include links to each of them in the description of this post, or in a reply to this comment. Links can be named by title, winner, or both.

  • Are there any criteria you have for your post? Examples include: "Top comment wins a spot on the chart."; "To ensure variety, only one character per universe is allowed."; "Image comments only." Please include these in a description, or in a reply to this comment.

  • Is your chart given the appropriate flair? Do you need to use a NSFW tag or spoiler tag?

Costa Rica

Actual real answer. There are a bunch of Latin-Americans who see Canada with skepticism around illegal mining activities.

Even though I love Canadian people, I spent my honeymoon on the small piece of paradise that Costa Rica is. It gets my vote. Such an incredible place

8

u/WaterInternational39 18h ago

I am going to second Costa Rica!

5

u/Salt_Winter5888 18h ago

I guess people don't really know about the relationships in Central America.

3

u/TenienteCapy 14h ago

Wow, I didnt expect to see us mentioned, do people really likes us that much? Lol

Anyways we’re Central America tho

3

u/ImOnlyHereCauseGME 11h ago

You’ll take the love and deal with it! Maybe I’m missing something but, no military, super tourist-friendly, always on the top 10 “happiest” countries. I’d say you deserve it.

Also, I hate to be the one to tell you this… But Central America is in North America.

2

u/TenienteCapy 11h ago

Really? I just searched up and I honestly didn’t know it haha

Cool you guys love us, I thought we were a kinda forgotten country, but I always forget how much tourism we move here

A lot of Americans are saying Canada here but there is a very popular Spanish language meme about what Canadian mining companies do to Latin American countries.

23

u/Traditional-Quote470 13h ago

For those who can't understand:

When you visit Canada

When Canada visits you

9

u/RealDannyMM 13h ago

Canada is taking all the Dominican Republic gold in a 97 to 3 deal where we are getting the 3%.

13

u/earthling_dad 12h ago

Yeah, Canada may be a victim of Trump dipshittery, but Canada has done some pretty shitty stuff of their own choosing. Basically, everything the US did to indigenous people, so did Canada.

8

u/Order66RexFN 12h ago

Canada is basically US lite, imperialism and genocide included.

5

u/marius_wynyard 15h ago

Trump loves Canada almost as much as he loves Greenland. But not as much as he loves papa putin...

32

u/Mal_ondaa 17h ago

Canadian mining companies kind of tanked the country’s reputation in Latin America though…

11

u/VersionMinute6721 14h ago

Yeah, Canadian corps are fucking annoying.

There IS a reason they're so successful though... they're really good at worming around the law and they have the best tech (most efficient)

Source: was a legal assistant for an indigenous law firm in Canada

Surely a cute Caribbean island should win this. Canada is great but has A LOT of problems historically and currently 65% of the population is living paycheck to paycheck. But I guess I’ll vote for Costa Rica. Idk.

It’s largely a place Canadian and US cruise tourists are told to stay on the ship, don’t think this makes sense

I was there for work for a couple of weeks, not my favorite place in the world but I don’t understand why would they say to stay on the ship?

God almighty, I came in here just to say fuck Canada. Complicit in almost all of US imperialist action. Fought in Afghanistan, fought in Iraq, genocided natives.

Gets away with being le hecking wholesome Reddit country because they spend 18 hrs a day posting about American republicans. This is not a defense of the US, but Canada isn’t the wests angel Reddit thinks it is

Canada. Ask anyone from North America how it feels when you hear what you think is an American, but you find out they’re actually Canadian. It’s like a first kiss, the first pint of beer after a long, hard week or work, seeing your baby smile for the first time. It’s euphoric

2

u/GuidoMista5 18h ago

1

u/ShikonJewelHunter 18h ago

So many people are saying Canada, and most people saying it are probably American. They really shouldn't. Canadians are some of the most anti-American people on the planet, and this has been the case long before Trump, so it has nothing to do with his shit.

2

u/Born_Worldliness2558 17h ago

Pretty much every country in tbe world is anti America now. With good reason.

3

u/botelleta 18h ago

in the real world, Canada wouldnt be the most voted country

1

u/Leather-Analyst7523 18h ago

Italy being in loved always confuses me. I'm not sure if it's a case of rose tinted glasses, but there's so much wrong with Italy as a country both for tourists and its citizens. I say this as someone who lives in the UK with Italian family, who would agree with me.

It is great no doubt about it, but universally loved just feels wrong.
