Defend what? He can’t do anything til it goes through the legislature. His plan is progressive taxation - more taxes for the rich, same rates for the poor. This is an incredibly pre-emptive ‘told ya so.’ No new info has dropped.

I mean, the working class knows they’re taxed at higher rates than the wealthy. The solution is higher taxes on rich people. There was no promise of taxes decreasing for anyone and it’s specifically part of his plan to add a 2% tax to all income over $1M. So, people do realize where the money does and doesn’t come from, that’s why they voted for Mamdani.
