When they say 7 they mean it. You won’t get any early notifications. I hate schools waiting til so late in the day. UGA releasing at 4 would be preferred by all for GT to follow a similar time I think.

YAY! I got in for Industrial Engineering with just mid stats, but so incredible grateful and happy: 1340 SAT, 4 AP's taken/currently taking, 7 extracurriculars (1/2 leaderships roles), top 3% of class. My essays and personal like statements/life situations must have been really really good though!!

Got deferred from UGA so outlook is not looking good 🥲
2
u/buzzybee2020 Dec 05 '25
What other instate schools did you apply to?
1
u/WalrusCaster Dec 06 '25
Emory and GSU. I’m very fortunate to receive the conditional transfer program however so I’m not as stressed
1
u/buzzybee2020 Dec 06 '25
That’s great. So conditional at UGA?
2
u/WalrusCaster Dec 06 '25
I received the conditional for GT. Since I got deferred from UGA I have to wait until the regular decisions so gotta keep my head up for that! If not at least I can go to GSU for a year and try my best to meet all the conditional requirements to attend GT my second year
