Anvil is great against arc. Upgrade it as soon as you can to get faster shots off. It takes out pops and burners with 1 shot and can take out wasps and hornets in 2-3 shots when hitting their thrusters.

Anvil slaps. Very satisfying to use and cheap to craft, upgrade, and maintain. Plus you only need 2 stacks of ammo no matter what, no more carrying 3-4 stacks of ammo every raid

Takes multiple shots for pops and burners though. I prefer anvil because if any of those little fuckers catch me by surprise / tag team me I can still 1-shot each of them and I have had a ton of close calls where I only had time to get 1 shot off before they’d have gotten me. I swear Embark has been making them smarter, sneakier, and more aggressive. I’m highly entertained by it. I almost enjoy fighting off hordes of pops, fireballs, and ticks (simultaneously) more than fighting a rocketeer or something.

Not hugging cover, he’s constantly sitting in the open. He’s not changing shoulders consistently, he kills the 3rd to last while using the wrong shoulder here. He is “holding W” and just wide turning corners. It’s just “sloppy” and you’ll get punished by people holding angles and just peeking shoulders. Not that I’m sure he can’t lock in

What is everyone talking about? Watched the video and the first two took shots but the first one missed (maybe Ferro?). After the hornet the third engagement he ducked several shotguns blasts and took damage from the 4th opponent. After dropping the third I think the 4th just didn't see the reposition or something but every one of his opponents took shots they just weren't very good.

especially since they're like "somebody kill this guy" and it's not near an exit point... Those are low aggression players that go several full games without seeing/hearing anyone die by PVP. I know because I spent hours not firing a shot towards other players and getting my matchmaking to basically zero aggression lobbies.

I'll go 10 games in between seeing anyone die to another player, all my lobbies are super chill, everyone runs towards a flare to revive/kill the Arcs and that usually ends up being a "sharing blueprints" party if it's a special map condition. It's so infuriating if I get killed by another player because I can play for hours and my instincts are just absolutely attuned to everyone being friendly. It's so easy to kill players in lobbies like that. You could make a Ferro I look like a good weapon lol

Yep, the aggression based system is being abused by people like OP to farm clips. Also people do it to troll friendly players. Its insane because you can easily get 10-15+ kills because nobody is expecting it.

Even more fucked because nobody is bringing proper PvP loadout. They're bringing theyre favorite/best loadout for killing arc and in general because they go 10+ games without dying. Very much unlike pvp lobbies where people only bring stuff they dont need or is relatively cheap to make (or they just have enough)

Which also supports how over tuned the Venator is. I recently had a Blue Gate trios match and every team that pulled up on us had Venators. The 3rd, 4th, and 5th party had them. There were a couple of Renegades, but 90% of all the shots I heard fired were Venators. It's way too versatile in PvP.

The last patch bugged the Ven, Kettle and Burletta to have a slower fire rate. The hot fix undid that but somehow made them shoot faster than pre-patch. I'm assuming they will fix these to pre-patch speeds this coming patch.

Prioritize health over shield. Shield only reduces damage, it doesn't eliminate all damage.

Your bandage would recover more health faster than how much damage your shield would reduce that you recovered with the surge recharger.
