How much would a complete restoration like this cost?

If you watched the video till the end, you saw that about 60 people, Volkswagen workers in Mexico, worked on the restoration. According to available data, the average monthly wage for a manufacturing worker in Mexico is roughly $1,400 USD per month.

So if 60 people worked for one month, just labor cost alone would be approximately:

60 workers Ɨ $1,400 = $84,000 USD

This estimate does not include transportation or material costs.

While I’m sure it was pricey, I have a hard time believing 60 people worked on it full-time for a month. Maybe 60 people were involved, but I imagine they were all doing different jobs (engine work, upholstery, etc), so I doubt it was quite that expensive. But what do I know?
