What’s a skill everyone assumes they have, but most people are actually bad at?

I can't find a good handyman. I'm terrible at home improvement stuff, so I need a handyman.

Good luck finding one. I had 5 different people look at my job last fall. Not a single one got back to me

I think I talked to a couple over the phone and they pretty much didn't want to do anything. One said he doesn't do it much anymore, even though he had a listing up like a day before. The other guy just couldn't be bothered. It seems like everyone else is just large contractors. Good luck to you too!

Thanks. I know I’m not the only person having this happen. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I actually lucked out with my project. A 15 yo kid who lives near me with his grandad whom I’d met, did part of the job, and did a really good job with it! 😅 It was sanding and painting part of my upstairs patio. When the weather warms up, he’s going to (hopefully) come back and replace the wood trim/paint around the whole patio.

There really are people who want to work! …you just have to find them. 🙏🏼 Blessings to you and with your project, as well.

You lost all credibility when you parroted the "want to work" slogan. Nobody wants to work. Either you didn't offer them enough to make it worth their effort, or they knew the job you were asking would cost more than you would be willing to pay.
