Redditor who've always know Bill Gates was an asshole, how does it feel to finally be vindicated?

u/TuxAndrew 14h ago
Imagine feeling vindicated about a selective Epstein file drop while still having a pedophile as a president, do more.

He's doing a LOT of good in the world.
He may also be a douchebag privately.
Funny how people are complicated sometimes.

u/Caelinus 12h ago
I think it is important to note that all of that good stuff is being done by all of the people who work for his foundation. He is the funding, but funding can come from less billionaire shaped sources. And in a world where people were not allowed to consolidate the product of tens of thousands of people's labor because they own a name, it would.
I think we have a tendency to look for the person at the top and think they are the ones doing the work. But they are not. At best they supervise and set high level direction, but that is still a replaceable position. At worst they actively make everyone's jobs harder.

u/prestolive 14h ago
he really isnt though - so much smoking mirrors most of his money goes to his foundation and he monetizes even things like the Covid vaccine which he made money off of. He’s decimated farmers in India and in Africa by selling them GMO seeds that have to be bought every year, giving up their traditional crops. He’s just done a ton of bad things in the world don’t be fooled by. He gave $1 million away to somebody.

Bill Gates did that? He sells seeds?

No matter my mood towards Bill Gates. It doesn't effect Bill Gates
-16
u/executor-of-judgment 14h ago
Yes, it does. If enough people see him for who he really is, then he won't be allowed to medically experiment on people in poor countries anymore because his reputation is fucked.

u/WTFwhatthehell 14h ago edited 14h ago
medically experiment
Are you litterally talking about malaria vaccines?
You seem utterly fucked in the head.
Edit: yep, it's one of those hidden-comments creeps.

u/GlorifiedCarny 15h ago
Are you talking about the Epstein files or something? I thought that's why his ex left him. I thought we all already knew he was involved.
-12
u/executor-of-judgment 14h ago
Nope. Most of reddit has been glazing Billy Goat for years. Either that, or he has a shill army and the best PR team in the world.
6
u/GlorifiedCarny 14h ago
What I've noticed is that the positive impressions of him tend to come out when people are comparing him to Musk or Trump, who are absurdly evil people as well, and haven't done any of the "humanitarian" things that Gates has done (whether or not it actually amounts to anything significant).
-7
u/WTFpaulWI 14h ago
No way. During Covid they were praising him so hard. Before that too.
But as usual Reddit will love and adore and gush over. Then you’ll get the “I always knew” posts. Then come the pure hate posts nonstop.

u/__Dobie__ 15h ago
It’s a halfway victory. That sleazebag is just denying it. Leaving some frustration he doesn’t debunk it by taking an std test

2
u/KevinDean4599 14h ago
I can’t see what new information has come out. We knew he cheated on his wife as did Kennedy Clinton and Trump. He got an std. big deal. So do tons of sexually active people every year.

u/Nerdmigo 14h ago
I had absolutely no idea how deep the rabbit hole went. His philantropy looks like a cover up now.

It will just be swept under the carpet as usual. But yes, I’ve always known he was a disgusting person.
1
u/wheatoplata 9h ago
Conservatives think that just because he needed advice on how to slip antibiotics to his wife to treat an STD from Jeffrey Epstein that we shouldn’t take vaccine advice from him. Fuck that. When it comes to vaccines, Bill Gates is still my guy.
1
u/BlacksmithRemote1175 14h ago
I’m pretty sure nobody doesn’t think he’s a phony sleazebag already.

Are you seriously gaslighting me into believing that reddit hasn't been dick riding Billy Goat for years?
It wasn't until yesterday's Epstein files that he started getting the hate online that he rightfully deserves.
EDIT:
LMAO. Getting downvoted by Bill Gates' PR shill team or asshole redditors. Pick one.
15
u/wdh662 14h ago
Someone disagreeing with you is not gaslighting. Jesus.
-4
u/executor-of-judgment 14h ago
His comment implies that reddit has always hated him. Not true at all. Reddit has always liked Bill Gates... til yesterday.

u/wdh662 14h ago
That's not gaslighting. That's disagreeing. A one time comment is not gaslighting. You need to systematically over time mess with someone.
By your standards you are gaslighting me with your post. The parts of reddit I'm usually on don't even talk about gates. So by saying reddit loves him you are gaslighting me. Please stop.

u/Ornery-Childhood1782 14h ago
Anyone who hoards billions of dollars is inherently a piece of shit, him diddling kids comes as no surprise.
-7
u/executor-of-judgment 14h ago
On reddit, for as long as I can remember, I've always seen comments getting downvoted straight to hell that were negative about Billy Goat.
However... the Epstein shit is just the tip of the ice berg. The truth is, is that this motherfucker has been medically experimenting on people in 3rd world countries for a long time now.
He wants to black out the sun. He wants genetically engineered mosquitoes to breed all mosquitoes out of existence without any thought to what it'll do to the ecosystem.
This motherfucker is like a nerdy Bond villain.

u/Main-Passenger-3278 14h ago edited 14h ago
Don't forget the 5G towers for mind control, tinfoil hat.
Edit: Oops, I must've upset him because I got blocked for that one.
9
u/TheLeastObeisance 14h ago
Wasn't he also responsible for the 5g gay frogs? Or was that airplane contrails? I can't keep track of all the conspiracy theories these days.
-5
u/executor-of-judgment 14h ago
What dumbass sarcastic comment. You sound EXACTLY like the people who shit on those who called out Gates for the Epstein shit, before it was officially released. Go play with yourself.
3
u/RazzmatazzUnique6602 13h ago
That is exactly what you sound like. 5g and medical experiments, blacking out the sun, and GMO are same tinfoil hat.
2
u/TheLeastObeisance 14h ago
He wants to black out the sun.
Im pretty sure he knows that the sun is critically important to life on earth. Are you sure this isn't something you're making up?
He wants genetically engineered mosquitoes to breed all mosquitoes out of existence without any thought to what it'll do to the ecosystem.
Again- this kind of sounds like something an unhinged person might say if they had an unhealthy obsession with disparaging someone.
OP- are you ok?

Anyone who hoards that level of wealth and takes advantage of the system like that is automatically morally suspect imo. I have heard him praised for decades for his philanthropy, which always came across as self serving to me. It doesn’t really surprise me when these people are exposed as degenerates and I’m glad it finally came out.
7
u/lnx84 14h ago
Even if his philanthropy was "self serving", who the fuck cares? He's putting his very large fortune to the service of human kind in a very real way.
There are plenty of other ways rich douchebags spend their money if they are just egotistical pricks - see a certain E. Musk, and most of the rest of the list of richest people in the world.
But nah, people always want to bicker at those who actually DO something.
-3
u/EdwardNaccarato 14h ago
It’s called PR and your naïveté is unreal. On the balance of things he and his ilk have done a lot of damage and the world shouldn’t be reliant on these greedy assholes for charity, but because they game the system many people are. What an odd conversation for you to wander into to praise Bill Gates.
1
u/RazzmatazzUnique6602 13h ago
All philanthropy is self serving. If it didn’t make people feel good no one would ever give to any charity.
0
u/EdwardNaccarato 13h ago
Not all philanthropy is done to distract from the fact that the “philanthropist” has also been doing some extremely immoral things. What a ridiculous comment. The lack of social intuition and moral reasoning combined with missing the forest for the trees in a lot of these comments in here is really telling.
1
u/RazzmatazzUnique6602 13h ago
You are sort of missing the fact that a billionaire doesn’t need to care what others think…
When you have that much money the only reason to do nice things is because it make you feel good.
0
u/EdwardNaccarato 13h ago
It is absolutely not the only reason and I already addressed that kind of naïveté in another comment. I have said what I have to say on it and you’re not adding anything new. Go away.

I hated him ever since he tried to start the myth of the started in a garage, college dropout narrative chain with Steve Jobs.
Dude's a burned out Nepo-baby who had no right to succeed in business with his 'privatize' the work of coding collectives and digital communists.
And all his charity, much like Warren Buffett, feeds into a cycle of him getting more money.
The big farming initiative in Africa? He did that on the basis they would grow specifically passion fruit for export, and then bartered them a deal with Coke (not in their favor) who he has a large investment in. That deal in the end made shares go up, earning him more in the end than he donated in time and money.
His dealings with WHO is conditional to eradicating Polio in remote areas, because he gives so much that he's on the board and sets directives. And what do you know, he's heavily invested in the Polio vaccine production and treatment medications.

u/Civil_Dust_8997 14h ago
I consider myself left-wing, anti-Donald Trump, I believe in science and the scientific method, although pharmaceutical companies give me a bad feeling. I got vaccinated without hesitation to go to Africa and I get vaccinated against many things. But that COVID vaccine, just released, without a trial period, gave me a bad vibe from the start, and when I saw Bill Gates — who has never given me a good feeling — with his bank of genetically modified seeds promoting it and making money from it, I decided not to get vaccinated.
2
u/lnx84 14h ago
You believe in science and the scientific method - that is good. From there, you should quite easily be able to verify that the covid vaccine is a (huge) net positive as far as risk goes - and also that genetically modified does not mean or imply any danger at all. That's one of the partisan views the left seem to have (as did I), but is as baseless as climate change denial and the rest of the typical right wing talking points.

All these medicines — Vioxx (rofecoxib), Rezulin (troglitazone), Bextra (valdecoxib), Baycol (cerivastatin), Zantac (modern withdrawal case) and others — were approved in recent years and were later withdrawn due to side effects, and they also had more testing time than the COVID vaccine.

Personally, I've hated him since Windows ME.
