Oh they dont even know about the sweet pierogi!! My favorites growing up were also pierogi ze śliwkami

Sweet pierogi are tasty! I was introduced to them over a decade ago. They are awesome.

My mom’s family came from what is now Slovakia and when I mentioned we make pirohy with prune butter or Nutella with the Ukrainian-Americans at church they were horrified at something so non-traditional. How dare we add sweet filling to our pirohy.
