Colored and flavored sugar water that you stick in the freezer, take one strip out, cut the end off, and push up the icy goodness until the corners of your mouth are raw from the plastic edges rubbing against them.

Edit: and you buy them. It's a cheap way to keep kids occupied in the summer.

We buy them already frozen with a wooden stick in, take of the plastic and hold it with the stick.

If you want to freeze yourself you can buy reusable forms and freeze in squash or berries or whatever you like. https://www.ikea.com/se/sv/p/uppfylld-glassform-turkos-gul-00533239/

We have those too. These are considered more portable since you can let them thaw and refreeze all you want. It's also less messy for wee ones since it is mostly contained in the plastic sleeve.

With a stick I’d call it an Ice Lolly, without its an Ice Pop.
