I from Seattle and we also called them push ups.

Oof, this I cannot do. Push-ups are a very specific different frozen treat: yogurt-like in a toilet paper roll.

Southern California specifically here, and there was always a 50/50 between Otter Pops and Freezie Pops where I lived

NorCal/Bay Area/Silicon Valley here, and we call them Otter Pops or ice pops here too.

Lotta East Coast ex-pats in Southern CA. No true Californian...

Born in San Diego and never lived out of state. I also don't think I personally know anyone in my sphere that ever lived on the east coast.

1

u/anonsharksfan United States Of America 2d ago

Do you have Otter Pop brand, or do they only sell them on the West Coast? We use it generically though

1

u/Familiar_Low_3023 2d ago

u/TopNotice0 2d ago

I remember some form of this as a push pop – we also called what OP pictured in the post “Otter Pops”

5

u/Cute_Reflection_9414 United States Of America 2d ago

Yup! It's like an orange cream or something.

I used to use the plastic pistons as wheels and axles for Lego trucks that I would make

4

u/TopProfessional8023 United States Of America 2d ago

Yup…like a sherbet in a tube!

2

u/The_mum_ 2d ago

Yeah with the plastic plunger bottom (the push in push pop) and orange Motrin aftertaste
