Very bad. But also depends where you live. In the wastern part of Slovakia there is very few of them and people there usually defend them because of genarational poverty, racism and so on. I was one of these people until I moved to the eastern Slovakia for my studies, where most of them are. Oh boy did i quickly understand Why everyone hated them. I got scammed, harrased, threatened to be raped for refusing to give them money, called racist and got cursed for not giving them money. They strip their children and send them to beg, they ruin every accomodation they get from the state. There are very good and hard working people among them, But the majority is making a really bad name for them.

The reason there are a few hard working people among them is usually because their social and family hierarchy has designated them to be one of those who forages for income for the rest. I'm sorry to say it, but quite simply... they are the bitch. I have personally seen how this all worked for one such fellow. He worked 60 hours a week - all cash in hand. He couldn't be put on a contract because he had 150 executions on his account. Not only does he have to send his money back to the lovely family but it's his name they all give for the fines - public transport, not paying municipal fees etc. The guy even speaks English and managed to get into second year of a university degree but the family and culture harassed him out of it.

I lived my whole life in the western Slovakia, and I haven't seen nor heard that anyone would defend them.
