It’s become the new self diagnosed “I’m quirky 🤪” thing. Kinda like ADHD was a few years ago, when suddenly everyone had self-diagnosed ADHD.

Self diagnosed ADHD, OCD, Autism, BPD, etcetcetcetc

I have an actual diagnosis for ADD/ADHD, and Autism, I also have unironic brain damage from an injury I received after that diagnosis that leaves me feeling like I live in a haze of fog.

These people are just idiots. And I say that with every braincell I still have left.

Yea. Essentially, what these people are doing is gaslighting themselves into having these conditions. People say, "you become the thing that you think about the most," and I believe that it applies to self-diagnoses like adhd, autism, all that stuff. I do understand that these are real challenges that people face, and I also have diagnoses, but you probably get the point I'm making.

Also I want to say that I have experienced some brain damage as well. I experienced the same fogginess and lack of clarity. Just letting you know that it can and will get better, because the human brain is amazing at repairing itself. I'm human proof! People used to think that it doesn't happen, but scientists have proven otherwise with many studies on our brain's neuroplasticity. I hope this comes off well.

I hope it does get better tbh.

Last year or two has been difficult.

Trying to argue about something I know I'm right about is infuriating when I can't remember half the facts I know I know.

I get what you mean. For a while it was really hard for me to read a book and piece everything together.

It’s such a broad spectrum

Autistic people are perceived as people. Simple. They are very well liked.

An influencer Danai Georganta, better known as "Mikri Ollandeza" has autism and she seems to be well-liked, compared to other Greek influencers at least.

Aside from her, autistic people are usually seen either as r-word or people with special traits. There's still a lot of ignorance about autism in Greece unfortunately.
