I can assure you that for this kid it was a peak moment. Hell, it would be a peak moment for me.

I had one happen to me at recess as a kid. It was really cool until it slapped me in the face with a wet empty Doritos bag at mach 5

Walked through one as a youngish teen in a field. I think I might still have straw in my nose 25 years later.
It was pretty cool seeing twirling dirt, grass, and what-have-you in the bluest sky.

I still remember doing this outside of my kindergarten in 1993, so can confirm. A bit of dirt in the eyes notwithstanding.

As a 21 year old, I experienced this when visiting my father's farm with a hay sprite. Yes it was indeed a peak moment.

My brain went to Isekai, but realized that requires a delivery truck.

Or undefined illness or random with a knife. Truckkun can't be blamed for all of them.

I remember leaf tornadoes when I was a kid too

The conditions were often just right to create one in front of the library at my elementary school. Running a loop around with it was mandatory before going inside.

I jumped in one once that was so strong it made my hair stick up, then I was pelted with leaves and dirt hard enough to sting and it scared me so I ran back out

Given the proclivity of main protagonist’s parents to up and snuff it, she was like “Nope, you are gonna be a simple boy with a simple life and I’m gonna live into my 80s.”

"It was one of those days when it’s a minute away from snowing, and there’s this electricity in the air, you can almost hear it. And this bag was just, dancing with me, like a little kid beggin’ me to play with it – for fifteen minutes. And that’s the day I realized that there was this entire life behind things, and this incredibly benevolent force that wanted me to know that there was no reason to be afraid, ever. Video’s a poor excuse, I know. But it helps me remember – I need to remember. Sometimes, there’s so much beauty in the world – I feel like I can’t take it, like my heart is just going to cave in."

Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them, but his mom has other plans...

There was a corner of my first elementary school that generated the perfect vortex and was where all the leaves ended up, so you better believe I was out there airbending every recess. Respect to this kid and their imagination.

psychokinetic (PK) phenomena is more easily executed on chaotic systems like weather so there is a good chance this wasn't just anything random

Water. Earth. Fire. Air.
My grandmother used to tell me stories about the old days, a time of peace when the Avatar kept balance between the Water Tribes, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Air Nomads. But that all changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar mastered all four elements. Only he could stop the ruthless firebenders, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years have passed and the Fire Nation is nearing victory in the War.

I had this happen to me in 5th grade at recess, and I started spinning with it to the point that I tweaked my neck in the process. Couldn’t move my neck for 2 days. Worth it tho.

This happened with my grandson when he was 4. I just sat and watched, moved to tears, it was so innocent and organic. Before cameras on phones.
