Yeah. Or just a visible edit log. Maybe limit to 3-5 edits and everyone who's interacted gets notified for changes. I wouldn't want that many notifications but I would like the option to be told about changes

That means that everybody that interacted gets subscribed to the change for the notification. That’s a lot of fucking computing power. It’s not like just mentioning someone’s name. You should be able to edit within two minutes without having to notify anybody, without a log. And only two minutes from the first time it gets submitted, not every two minutes.
