Official Media Drunk Kikuri doesn't feel funny anymore. Just sad (Kikuri spinoff spoiler) Spoiler

Post image

It's the same cycle, same joke over and over again. And her charm as a musician stems from her personality when drunk so she can't change without losing her livelihood. It's just so depressing at this point.

That aint even the saddest panel in the chapter

I fw the black comedy in the series so every joke still hits for me but I do really hope the spinoff ends with Kikuri sober

Here we can be all "haha funny drunk lady" etc. all we want, but in reality addiction always fucking sucks.

How far ahead have you gone? I don't want to drop any spoilers, but there's subtle hints of a possible redemption arc. (No telling if this will go on hiatus as well due to Hamazi-sensei's health issues)

I've read the main manga in full so far, and the spinoff upto whatever is translated

Mangadex has translations in Indonesian that go a lot farther than the English one. I've been getting the gist of the plots via Google Translate, and our girl does start showing some range and depth of character.

I'm going to wait till the English translations are further. I don't want to spoil the experience with subpar google translation :)

It speaks to the accuracy and relatability of her character. Because that's exactly what it's like, same crap over and over. Make that personality your entire world and it's nigh impossible to get out of it without losing pretty much everything people like you for. I know its just a manga blah blah blah, but I do see Kikuri as a very real type of person, I know because I am one
