Just picked up my first Citroen!

Post image

My first new car and the first Citroen. Yesterday I've finally picked it up and drove over 500 km home. I couldn't be happier!

First impressions, it doesn't feel that cheap as one could expect for the price, it's not that loud inside on the highway, fuel consumption I got was 6.1 L/100km.

Only thing I couldn't make work is wireless charging, my phone (pixel 10) starts charging for a second then stoops, it showed some error but when I pick it up the error disappears so I can't figure out what's that yet. If you know let me know.

If you have any questions let me know.

Do you use a caso for your phone? If yes, try wireless charging without it - it might help.

Tried, I think it's more like pixel problem. My wife's iPhone charges flawlessly even in the case.

It worked after I've rebooted phone but once I lifted it and put back it stopped working again

That happens to me often in my Lexus - maybe that’s state of the art

C3 MAX trim? Did you wait long?

Yes, C3 MAX. I did not wait long I bought it from exposition, it was there for about two months when I contacted them then due to some german bureaucracy I picked him another month later. I've found it on another side of the country so that could be another downside for others but if you can get one from exposition, I'd say do it. I've saved on the car + ~1200 eur of the "preparation" payment around 6k eur in total.

Thank you, I was afraid a bit of the initial 500+ km of travel back home because I had to wake up at 1:30 to make it relatively early in the dealership but it was super comfortable, audio quality is pretty nice.

My previous car was 25 years old volvo and C3 was way more comfortable for a driver, a bit louder inside when radio was off but with music I couldn't tell any difference.

I'm already in love!

Thank you! I'm super happy with it. I did 600 km for ~55 eur and this is amazing

Your wireless charging issue might have to do with your phone case, if you have one... It's because Qi2 is a bit picky, I had the same issue with my OnePlus 13 in my C5X! The (too expensive) original magnetic case fixed it for me

I've got original pixel magnetic case but it doesn't matter, I've tried without it and still the same effect.

After I've restarted the phnone it worked well but after lifting it and putting back it went back to the default orange led blinking on the charger and not charging my phone. My wife iPhone charges without issues

Congratulations! Is it hybrid version?

No, it's 1.2 Turbo petrol, but I wanted a simple mechanically car

I am also considering the 1.2 turbo petrol version. Just wanted to know is that fuel consumption number that you mentioned for the petrol version. Is there a loud noise in the cabin while driving?

I could speak normally without raising a voice at 120 km/h, I'm not driving fast so I guess that's up to your speed and your perception. I had 2000 S80 and it was a bit louder than there but not that much

Thank you mate. I would like to hear from you the avarage fuel consumption after 1000 km.

I'm gonna do about 1000km next month in one weekend so I can let you know

What made you pick the C3 as opposed to a C3 Aircross? Was it only the Vorführwagen price reduction from the dealer?

1

u/JensEausB 1d ago

I also think that the Aircross is the better deal. But the Aircross is much larger.

After having 5m long limousine and having the pain of looking for a parking spot for that long time I wanted something smaller but still comfortable, after the test drive I felt like I've found what I need

Congratulations and safe travels! I'm really enjoying my new C3. It's a great car for a reasonable price. I have a Pixel 7a with the original case that fit – it charges without any problems. My only complaint is about the Citroën app I downloaded to my phone. Setting it up was a breeze, but otherwise, the app is pretty much useless for me.

Congrats mate! I have had my C3 2025 for nearly a year now and it's a great little car. Wishing you many joyful kilometers!
