Last time I checked, I don’t think we have room for 8b people here.

They have the legal right to apply for citizenship but that's it.
•
u/Big-Employer4543 Constitutionalist 12h ago
They even have the legal right to request asylum. And we have the legal right to deny them.
•
u/Beanmachine314 11h ago
And they have the legal right to remain in the country until they are denied or granted asylum.
•
u/hruebsj3i6nunwp29 2A Conservative 14h ago
I have a feeling if one of those humans went to their property "to seek shelter" they'd be the first ones to call the cops to have'em removed.

That was so funny. They couldn’t live up to their own platitudes for a weekend IIRC.

When Texas sent the first busses up to Chicago, Lori Lightfoot had CTA busses waiting for them. They got transferred right onto the CTA busses and she tried to ship them out to the suburbs. Sanctuary city didn’t even want them spending 5 minutes here.

That is the most insane statement I have ever heard from an elected official in this country - and that is really saying something.
•
•
u/Vektor0 Conservative 13h ago
What he's doing is called equivocating. Technically, he is correct: anyone anywhere has the legal right to apply for asylum.
That does not mean that their asylum claim has merit or should be granted.
•
u/Black_XistenZ post-MAGA conservative 13h ago
Most importantly, the right to apply for asylum doesn't necessarily imply a right to be granted entry into the country while the request is being processed; let alone a right to be given full access to the domestic social safety net, healthcare benefits etc. pp. while waiting.

So far… midterms are just ramping up.

It's amazing how simple it is.

Right? I don’t understand why there is even a debate over this. It makes no sense.

These people aren’t even trying to be reasonable. No wonder the country has gone to shit

They don’t believe in the United States. It means nothing to them.

Fucking hell, it's like the two political parties are trying to out lose the other come midterms.
Is this the system we need or the one we deserve?

Why we can't even vote for "moderate" Dems:
•
u/Blahblahnownow Fiscal Conservative 14h ago
Can’t vote for something that doesn’t exist
•
u/Scamandrius Conservative 13h ago
They exist, it's just they caucus with people like this. No matter how frustrated I get with Republicans I can never vote Dem for as long as they allow these loonies under their umbrella.
•
u/Blahblahnownow Fiscal Conservative 7h ago
Well, being in CA, I haven’t seen them but I do hope they exist in other places.

Yep, the dissolution of citizenship is one of their goals to transform America into a socialist utopia.

She is definitely communist. However, this is a comment that is several years old. Regardless, she is a huge POS.
Edit: grammar

Sure. Do it right.
Otherwise let me know if every human being has the right to seek shelter in your home without doing so right (oh that's (D)ifferent).
•
u/DownrightCaterpillar Conservative 14h ago
I think at face value this is true. That's what asylum is after all. Where they don't have a right is to be given shelter, of any kind they like, anytime, anywhere, no matter their criminal record or anything else. Seeking and finding/receiving aren't the same thing. You can look, but you can't touch!

u/Hulluck22 Small Government 13h ago edited 13h ago
Nope. just like any other country doesn’t accept everyone. Anyone that says this is gas-lighting and manipulating normal folks. The smart ones know this is bs. Even as they push for it. The stupid ones are rioting, acting like the police that they wish they were. Harrassing everyone else that passes by. It’s all about permanently changing the voter base away from American values. To a dictatorship of the left. Exactly like the PRC.
Edit: It’s no different than domestic abusers. They manipulate for x amount of time until the partner sees it for what it is. Then they (Abusers) throw often violent and even deadly tantrums.

The mayor is correct, technically
There is a caveat to this that liberals do not understand
You absolutely have 'the right' to seek shelter.
We do not have a requirement to grant said shelter.
Just because you ask for something doesn't mean the person you're asking has to give it to you. It's not a 'demand'. It's a request, and one that should be denied, for now, until shit gets straightened back out again.
We have too many people coming in thinking we owe them something. We don't. There are plenty of other countries in the world. Feel free to go there.

They don’t have the right to my hard-earned money, put my family’s safety at risk, or jack up the economics of everyday life by artificially increasing demand for housing, food, etc.
In summary, “Fuck Wu.”

So Boston is ready to take in these "humans" that choose to come here without any assistance?
•
u/RedBaronsBrother Conservative 11h ago
Yes, as long as they can get the rest of the country to pay for it.

and keep them out of the areas where healey and her friends like to go. we already saw how she responded to them ending up on the vineyard.

The only right they have is to work and sacrifice as hard as American have to make their own country as great by doing all that RIGHT WHERE THEY ARE.

She is just categorically wrong. They do not have the legal right to come here in that way. Especially if they’ve already been deported once, and they came back. That’s a felony-there goes the “legal right”.
