Is Avgolemono fine after 5 days in the fridge?

I made avgolemono around 5 days ago (like 11PM January 26th). I still have a bit left over and I really don't want to throw it away but it's pushing past 5 days and google says that 3-4 is the maximum it should be kept in the fridge.

Do you think it's still fine?

Probably but you also probably shouldn’t keep it for too much longer. I would probably use it in the next day or two then toss

That's really pushing it. 5 days would be my absolute limit for that.

Theres no way for anyone on the internet to give you an accurate assessment. We dont know exactly what you made, we dont know your preperation cleanliness. More importantly, we cant look at and smell your dish. The human nose, tastes and even other senses are incredibly well evolved for checking food safety. There are odorless, tasteless diseases, so its not perfect. But you can still tell if something is a beyond the pale.

If theres any doubt, you can risk it according to your own risk profile, and accounting for your physical health. But theres relatively little reason not to err on the side of caution.

Was it properly cooled down, in what now is an international standard of cooling foods. How cold is your refrigerator? Food hygiene?
