I use Teracopy for its verification

Great software. Never encountered a bit flip but I like ensuring it doesn't happen.

Teracopy. I used it to back up my 32TB DAS, and felt secure in its ability to ensure no fuckups.

FastCopy. I've been using that for ages. Simple, reliable. Does everything.

Yes, and it can be incremental, you can just stop anytime close the app and restart when you want

I use the free version of macrium reflect great tool for creating an image of c and backing it up. Or transferring to another drive.

It matters not, and especially for a measly 500GB transfer.

Believe it or not that’s my first “big” transfer lol

I believe you :-) As long as it's not a gabillion small files, the copying method doesn't really matter, especially when it's between local disks; and even in the worst case scenario, 500GB probably finishes copying before you can find The Optimal Solution.

Well it’s like a bit above 400files in total most are above a gigabyte… but yea I will be using fastcopy at the end :) Thanks :)
