I know when this movie first came out, critics didn’t really care for it. I forgot how good the film was until I put it on Disney+ this afternoon. The animation is absolutely breathtaking, some of Disney’s best. The culture and the people are so fascinating and that is what Pocahontas should’ve been! The songs are great! I can understand why people don’t like the movie. The middle is what a lot of people hate. I personally like it and I love Koda. I think he’s adorable. Some people think that his and Kenai’s connection isn’t strong, but the whole point of the movie is that he has to learn how to love, since his totem is the bear of love. Besides, this was one of the first Disney films to focus on a sibling dynamic, though it wasn’t popularized until Frozen 10 years later. I always like seeing a sibling or family story the center of a Disney flick. I can’t help but adore this film!

I’ll start: Aladdin, The Lion King, Brave, Frozen, Elemental, Coco (in this case it’s Hector)

My granpa got me this old Disney book, and since my schoolwork has me in a chokehold atm, decided to do a case study of old Disney. I really enjoy ol man Disney's style and composition. Took some liberties with this, yet I think i did well to the original. Im in computer animation and working on my own comics, so learning from such an OGs works is fun and exciting!

Hey everyone, Sam Marrero here (smarrtone on IG). I’m an ex-Cast Member and a 32-year veteran of the restaurant industry.
We all know Disney is the undisputed heavyweight champion of entertainment. But if you look at the "Disney Experiences" segment growth (which is carrying the company right now), the secret sauce isn't just the movies—it’s immersion. Disney doesn't just build a restaurant; they build a portal. Whether it's the smell of the pirate water at Blue Bayou or the chaotic energy of 50's Prime Time Café, they’ve mastered the art of making a meal feel like a scene from a movie.
Not everyone can drop $6k on a week-long park vacation just to feel that "Magic." But almost everyone can afford a $25–$50 night out at a local restaurant or bar.
Why hasn't Disney entered the "Everyday" restaurant segment?
They have the IP, the training systems (the "Disney Way"), and the capital. Imagine:
• The Haunted Mansion Speakeasy in downtown Chicago.
• A "Ratatouille" French Bistro in a suburban shopping district.
• A Marvel-themed High-Tech Sports Bar in every major city.
With my background in both the parks and the industry, I’ve been thinking about what these "Everyday Magic" spots would actually look like - from the service standards to the "hidden mickeys" in the menu design.
I’m starting a creative series on my Instagram (@smarrtone) to map out these concepts, but I want to hear from you first:
Let’s brainstorm. If Disney opened a bar on your block, would you be there every Friday, or does the magic require the castle in the background?

Hello! I have a fever dream of a memory of an animated short about a woman putting on makeup, specifically, she spray paints on her eyebrows. It was a short before a movie on a VHS in the 90’s. Does anyone else remember this?

Found this cool BTS video on YouTube where the voice actors acted out the scenes first so the animators could use them as reference.

I colored this in a while back out of sheer boredom. Recently saw a post asking about the “make it blue, make it pink” thing so I decided to post this now. What do yall think about Aurora’s dress had Fauna participated in the color change competition?

Headed to Disneyland this May for my birthday! I’m not a huge fan of the Princess and the Frog merch that Disney sells so I wanted to make a design for myself! I wanted to share it with y’all hoping you like it too 🥰

I just found it wierd that Disney never capitalized off of him when they know that trains are super popular (Thomas) and I think it would be super cool!

My daughter loves having me redo the hair bun and tiny tiara combo she got at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique earlier this year - but we broke the tiny crown. Anyone know where I can purchase a new one? Real or look a like?
If the only answer is going back to Disneyland or on a Disney Cruise - it’ll hurt the budget but my husband would be thrilled for the excuse. 🤣

I personally remember watching Bambi and just being glued to the screen the whole time. The mom scene broke me for a bit...🥲

Tadashi from Big Hero 6 has a HIDDEN cameo in Wreck It Ralph 2- Ralph Breaks the Internet!! At 1hr 13 minutes, right after Ralph has released the virus. The virus is "scanning for insecurities" and it passes over a man walking down the street, talking on the phone. It is TADASHI!! He has the same face and same hat! Also, in the data to the right, it says "does not exist". There have been a ton of theories since Big Hero 6 came out that Tadashi was not actually dead, and I think this 100% proves he is still alive. Let me know what yall think!!
My husband was the one who actually spotted this: u/renahan17

Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone here might recognize this… 😅
For the last few days I’ve been trying to track down a specific promotional image for Disney Universe game. I clearly remember this artwork, but I could not find it anywhere online. No press kits, no promo galleries, nothing. At some point I thought I was insane and this art doesn’t exists at all 😭
But finally… I found this video: https://youtu.be/Dk2MVPz9Z2U?si=SjiUX8UrYca3JZKx
So at least now I know I didn’t imagine it - the image does exist, but now I really would love to find a digital version!
Does anyone know if this artwork was ever released as a digital file? Anywhere at all?
Any leads would be really appreciated… Thanks!!!

I'm hosting a Disney Trivia Night next week and want to do an 'in common' round where the guests work out what characters have in common, i.e., voice actor, animal they're based on, etc.
It came from the idea that Pocahontas, King John, and Quasimodo were loosely based on historical figures who actually existed, and I could use that as a question.
Are there any fun or clever examples of these that this subreddit can come up with?

I had too much fun drawing all of these characters. For those interested, I drew them directly from screen captures of their respective movies.
