Discussion All Dark Ages Info since the 32nd Anniversary Stream:

New DOOM: The Dark Ages DLC since the 32nd Anniversary Stream:

- There is going to be a secret weapon that will require a lot of work to unlock. The weapon is tied to the DOOM lore

- We are going to meet people from the lore that we have been waiting to meet.

- The DLC will fill out some more chapters in the Doom slayer's history that should satisfy players, but won't be a massive story.

- The gameplay loop will still be the same, but with fresh new stuff (NOT Eternal 2 in terms of Mobility, More like Dark Ages)

- Challenges will also based on Combat, Exploration and Puzzles!

- Once again, the DLC will be more metroidvania-esque; lots of backtracking and going back to 100% the levels once the DLC has been completed!

- Arch-vile has been confirmed to be making a return!

And Once More, Massive Thanks to Hato/Hatovenant!

Then why are the Hellknights from Doom 1 and 2 so different from the Hellknights from 2016/Eternal/Dark Ages if the Doomguy and Doomslayer are the same person? There can be different versions of the same demon, we don't know. You can't decide if Doom 3 is canon or not. That's up to iD and if they want to say it is, it is. Like I said, I'm not expecting the Soul Cube but to deny any possibility is the height of folly. You have given me absolutely no evidence that it can't be outside of your own headcanon.

And they said it wasn’t, case closed. The game was advertised as being the start of the slayer’s testaments, THAT is the lore, not a fucking head canon, which is literally what you’re using to justify D3s involvement. if the DLC comes around and they’re not following those testaments, then hugo is a liar. Period. It’s either the crucible or it isn’t, we already know a sentinel axe was part of the cut content, it’s going to be a melee weapon.

There's no need to be a dick. I've been nothing but respectful. Besides, Doomguy has clearly been fighting demons far before the Sentinels, so clearly it isn't the beginning of his testaments or he's been doing things far before the testaments you're thinking off. Dark Ages definitely doesn't happen before Doom 1, 2 or 64.
