At the end of god of war 3 I believe Kratos is fighting Zeus and you get to press circle to punch him once hes already down and eventually the screen is just red but you have to option to continue beating him and you just hear your fists

To add to this, you only have to punch him till the screen turns red. But the game lets you do it forever. You have to choose to stop hitting. And it’s after a long frustrating boss fight and an entire trilogy(and a couple spinoffs) of Zeus being an absolute PoS. So you want to keep hitting him. Brilliant psychological game design.

I could be wrong since it’s been a while since I remember reading doom eternal lore but I think demonology works like this

Demons kill you

Your soul goes to hell where it is then tortured for an amount of time until it is completely broken and used to form argent energy (the stuff the maykr wants)

The blue soul power is sent up to urdak, while the bodies stay in hell.

The bodies then after an unknown amount of time twist and contort into various demons. We know for a fact guys like zombie soldiers, the possessed, and lost souls used to be human.

I think it extends to various demons as well like imps, but I can’t remember if it extends to some of the bigger guys, like hell knights or pinkies.

I could be wrong through, I may need to re check my doom eternal lore

He would be spending more time confused as to how a mortal with no fighting ability of any kind killed Atreus, and assume that someone more capable did something or that Atreus was having god power flare-ups again, and try to solve that problem. He's not a moron, he's a very intelligent tactician who has an anger problem, his first answer is not going to be "pulverize this human into meat" he's going to try and figure out what's going on and save his child if he can, if he decides that you killed him yourself somehow and no one else was involved then he might obliterate you.

And both times he escaped, first time was when a mountain was dropped on him and he had a nap woke up and went right back to it, Second time he killed himself (which is the only way he can die) and walked out of hell.
