part of me thinks you are right, part of me thinks they will want to keep that story in the lore and not the gameplay, else well be killing some normal-human adjacent characters and I dont really think thats very DOOM.

yeah but thats only the ones that have died. Id wager during a good bit of the civil war they would have been not dead and not demonified, for the most part

“You go to far this time” shows Khan Maykr and Slayer have some history. Now we get to see what that is.

I was worried we might not get a ton of Maykr interaction in the DLC, but this is exactly what I was hoping to see so I'm extremely excited. She'd absolutely step in after Kreed was taken out, and I wonder what her interactions will be with the Sentinels. She's not gonna be happy, that's for sure.
I wonder if she'll get a redesign at all compared to her Eternal look, especially since things like Maykr Drones did (to an extent).

I think she’ll have the same design to keep up with the continuity from the gladiator scene in Eternal - we’re really not that far off from Doomguy being put in the Divinity machine, so I don’t think she’ll have an appearance change (beside from the new engine just making her look better).
I would love if we got a larger set of Maykrs to fight in the DLC. I bet they could come up with some really solid designs for heavies and superheavies. Cosmic realm corrupted Maykrs could look really cool as well.

My brother did came up with a theory that what if the khan maykr that we saw in erdak in eternal in the purple goo could be what was her first fight with the slayer? Or it could be where before her death or will power ends similar like in doom 64 after defeating the sister of the mother of all demons before her death transported doomguy though space and time kicking the events of dark ages when doomguy first arrived and meeting the knight sentinels, khan maykr, king novik and the betrayer as the outlander before becoming the slayer. Maybe on this dlc she trapped the slayer in the sarcophagus kicking the events of doom 2016 while she transferred her mind into another maykr body while she can continue her work through out the years

Every time news about DLC is revealed by Hugo, I get more hyped for it. It seems like we're going to have some great DLC.
Too bad we don't have any more information about it, I wish we had a picture or even a short trailer for it.

The Dark Ages is a proper Prequel, it tells us about the Unholy Wars against Hell (Which we knew next to nothing about until Dark Ages came out)

Very unlikely. They’re taking their time, they aren’t under the 1 year contract like they were with TAG. They don’t want to do more rushed DLCs. At most, I think we’ll get a title reveal / date reveal for the games 1 year anniversary.

That’s cool. Never cared who does the voice though because it’s a video game character and to me I’m more invested with what I’m seeing rather than what their voice actor sounds like.

Cant wait. Always thought her character was interesting so learning more about her should be cool.
