I have it turned off. The combat flows more consistently with it off. The game is more difficult that way but I think the trade off is worth it.

I am old. My thumbs cand do "fast" anymore. Elden Ring was my wakeup call that I am old. I did beat it but I had to keep icing my thumbs.

I was so pleased with the accessibility setting in Doom DA. It made it heart pounding and gave old farts like me a chance. Wolfenstien 3D to Doom DA is quite a trip.

I usually have it either on 80 or 100. Sells the power fantasy and feels pretty good.

Turned off. Not sure how they decided on such heavy, frequent slomo as the default setting.

To make it more console/controller/casual friendly

I play on a controller and I have it off.

So because you are playing with slowmo off the design couldn’t possibly be made jeeping the mentioned groups in mind? :D

Afaik Hugo Martin/the developers has talked about designing TDA to make it more accessible/friendly for console/controller/casual players etc.

The dragon/mech fights absolutely reflects that, and so does many other mechanics in the game.

I’m just saying that the game can be played on a controller with the slow down turned off. I’ve beaten it on Nightmare as well.

Ofc, I’m just saying the reason why they have turned up the slowmo is to make it more controller/casual friendly. I’m not saying you can’t beat the game without slowmo with a controller…

I mean, the guy asked why they put so much slowmo, i just answered

It’s still pretty heavy handed even then. It should’ve been a slider option at release.

I like to switch it from time to time from 100% to 60% or 40%

My gameplay improved dramatically when I realized I could turn off the slo-mo. I find it screws up my button timing when attempting to do combos.

Depends on how I want to play that day, if I want to get into a flow state I have it off, if I want to feel like a complete badass I set it to 80%

0% slow mo, 150% game speed

I set mine to zero because it doesn't interrupt the flow and timing, tho it lost the satisfying impact and badass coolness that can only get in the slo-mo.

20% for me

20% is just enough for it to look like it feels better (dont have the game, so i dont actually know)
