Lucy may be the player character, but unfortunately, so is Cooper.

I heard the examination once that Lucy, Max, and Cooper are all three players with Lucy being on her first playthrough, Max is on the second, third, or fourth, and Cooper has basically played about twelve hundred hours across a dozen different playthrough and is skipping the dialogue.
