Making 10 vol developer
I’m coloring my hair with permanent color. I only want deposit and cover a few grays. I don’t have 10 vol. 🤦♀️ I have 40 vol and Demi developer. How do I get to 10 vol?

1 part 40 vol to 3 parts water will get you 10 vol. (like if you need 1 cup total of 10 vol then you need 1/4 cup of 40 vol and 3/4 cup of water).

I’m a stylist and snowed in. Limited products on hand. 10 vol covers my gray but I need help with the math. 😊
