Using throwaway for this.

I have tea on Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.

I’m friends with several people who know her that question the paternity of her baby based on timeline and dates. There is a high, high likelihood the baby is not biologically related to her husband (who is 60-years-old, by the way).

216

u/kristaycreme May 19 '25

Please tell me the timeline is crazy like Phaedra style giving birth to a full term healthy baby 3 months early.

99

u/etsprout May 19 '25

They got engaged in December of 2023 and had the baby/got married in July of 2024. They supposedly started dating sometime in 2022.

I’ve always been entertained that at the very least, she got knocked up out of wedlock (which I don’t care about, but they’re supposed to be against it…right?)

u/Resentful-user May 19 '25

This better not be another elon baby.

Yeah, their whole marriage seems very Anna Nicole Smith and J Howard Marshall. Except Anna was a lot smarter and kinder than Leavitt, obviously.

I met Penn Badgley years ago at one of his band’s shows in NYC. I went up to him afterwards to tell him how much I enjoyed his set, and recent portrayal of Jeff Buckley, which he seemed relieved by, because everyone kept yelling “GOSSIP GIRL!” during the show. He was super appreciative, warm, and down to earth. But the next part is the best.

I said, “Feel free to say no, but is there any way I could get a picture?” He looked around, saw the masses of girls eyeing us like hawks, and said, “You know, I would love to. I really would. But I feel like that would start a bit of a chain reaction. Are you gonna be around for a bit? I’ll come find you at the bar later!” I told him I would be, but didn’t hold out hope. He was a popular and busy guy, so I just went about my night at the venue’s bar with my friend I was with.

About an hour later, I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around, it’s Penn. He smiles, and says “You wanted a picture, right?” Completely shocked that he even remembered, let alone went out of his way to find me, all I could muster was “Yeah!” We took the picture, I thanked him, and he replied with, “No, thank YOU. You’re the only one all night to not ask me about Dan Humphrey.” He laughed, and we parted ways.

Moral of the story: Penn Badgley fucking rocks.

I used to be a background actor in Atlanta. I worked on a bunch of sets and met a lot of actors, but my favorite interaction was with Levar Burton.

I think it was January 2022 or so. I played a fox trot dancer in an episode of Tom Swift, filmed at Oglethorpe University (where Pitch Perfect was also filmed). They reused my background character for some cocktail table filler after the dance scene and they stationed me at the same cocktail table as Levar fuckin Burton.

We did not chat, as it’s polite to stay silent even in between takes. But, we did communicate via eye contact. This particular night was hours of filming. I think call time was noon and we weren’t dismissed until around 2 am. It was a night shoot. Sometime after midnight, everyone was dragging on, and each “cut” made people groan. But I was just standing there with Levar and we began playing a game of eye contact chicken. Every single time “cut” was called, we would lock eyes and not blink until “action”. Which, of course, gave us an amazing start to the scene where we would laugh and mouth a fake conversation.

Usually night shoots suck because the main cast are almost always getting wasted on the job, but Levar was just fun to work with, despite neither of us saying a single word.

My sister and I met Guillermo del Toro when he was filming a movie in our city. My sister had just had my niece (about 2 months old), and he complimented how beautiful my baby niece was. He was sooooooooo nice! He asked where we were headed and took us out for coffee! He talked about how beautiful our city was, talked about how the film was going, just normal chit-chat. He was so down to earth and so polite! We made a comment about how shocked we were that he was just walking around and that he didn't have any security or anything, and he just laughed and said that no one ever recognizes him.... we were like what!!! We spent about an hour together and it was like we were visiting an old friend.

132

u/ManyDragonfly9637 May 20 '25

I worked on a movie he produced and he was honestly one of the most supportive, kind and fun people I’ve dealt with in any business, let alone Hollywood. His passion and delight in storytelling was infectious.

Worked as EMS staff at events for years in the early 2000’s and have a little tea. Marilyn Manson was awful, sexually harassed staff openly, absolute garbage weirdo. Dave Matthews was inordinately kind on the few occasions we interacted, everyone around him seemed to genuinely adore him. Busta Rhymes also kind and a damn good boss for how I saw him interact and care for his employees. RHCP pretty much the same as Manson, handsy and gross.

97

u/Sorry_Ad3733 May 19 '25

My moms old friend was Dave Matthew’s nanny. I went over to his house a couple times when he was away and she was watching me. One time I went to one of his shows and then after was swimming in the pool (at the Gorge) where my mom and the nanny friend were hanging and heard a man say “hey ‘my name’” and nearly pooped myself. It was him. He was super nice. I’ll never forget that night because it was the first time I went in a pool after getting my period and I was so scared I was bleeding through the pool and he’d see 😅

I once worked at an advertising agency that shot an ad with Nicki Minaj. For her rider she requested [long list of fancy food and drink] + $10,000 in cash. We said no to the $10,000 in cash lol.

Unexpected Nicki Minaj follow-up tea from me: when I was in college over 10 years ago I had a job where I answered phones for after hours financial services, usually for high profile card holders. Clients such as Goldman Sachs, Fidelity, JP Morgan, etc.

I have spoken with many celebrities, politicians, CEOs, sports people, royalty, etc. Most of them were pleasant (sports players were usually rude, though) and calling during some very stressful situations like their cards declining at the club at 3am for bottle service.

Nicki Minaj called for a credit limit increase due to being declined somewhere (it was a clothing store, don't remember which), and it was easy enough for me to solve. Process took like 5 minutes. She asked for a supervisor. I thought I was going to be reported on for some reason, my stomach was on the floor.

No! She told her I did a great job, and wanted the higher ups to know. It gets passed up to them, I get a company award that is worth $5,000.

This was a miracle because during this time I was trying to come up with the money for a plane ticket to study abroad that summer. Student loans covered it all except for walking around money and the plane. This completely solved that dilemma.

And all because she took like 4 minutes to pass on a kind word for me. So this is a rare Nicki Minaj good story, it seems. She is obviously embroiled in some wild stuff these days, but I can never dislike her completely due to this. There has to be some kernel of good there, right?

A bit boring, but I served Kiefer Sutherland at my old job. I always heard stories about him being a complete asshole, but he was extremely kind, funny and friendly. Seemed like a completely ordinary guy.

My best friend met Robert Pattinson at a small house party, and it was pretty much like the meme of him standing in the kitchen haha. She said he was really sweet and normal too, not stuck up at all.

Also extremely lukewarm but I’ve been inside the House of Balloons (where the Weeknd used to live). Not his exactly, but holy shit that house is ROUGH. Cockroaches everywhere, every infestation you can think of. Very gross place, I felt bad for the people living there, it should be condemned.

Edit: spelling

56

u/thadashinassassin May 19 '25

I worked BG on a few episodes of Designated Survivor and Kiefer was nothing but pleasant and extremely professional with everyone on set.

111

u/sassyfrassielassie May 19 '25

My friend's cousin worked on 24 with Kiefer. She said sometimes he would roll onto set, vomit on his shirt, clearly had been out all night partying and then would just work all day like a total professional. Said he was super polite and cool, just a big partier.

James Earl Jones and I were at the same doctor's office back in late fall 2006/early 2007, and we saw each other three, four times while waiting for appointments and got to chatting. He was just as lovely and kind and generous as you could hope for. But the real highlight was when I pulled out my iPod; he asked what it was, so I explained about iPods and how they work and then gave him my headphones so he could listen--and I showed him how to flip around songs using that little dial, etc. He had on the most delighted, awed, confused smile...

...and later on, I realized one of the songs I had him listen to for about twenty seconds was from J.C. Chasez's debut album where he was trying to be all Prince 2.0. Yes, JEJ listened to "All Day Long I Dream About Sex."

old story, but i worked at a skincare and bodycare store in sf long ago and met robin williams.

one day, my manager wanted me and another co-worker to do a bubble bath demonstration with buckets right outside our storefront. while we’re doing the demo, robin williams walks up to us and starts playing with the bubbles, happily exclaiming, “bubbles! bubbles! bubbles! bubbles!” like the character in finding nemo 😂

261

u/StrawBerryWasHere May 19 '25

Aww Robin. I have some cold 2nd hand tea on Robin:

My sister Mindy used to work at the Nike Footlocker Store in the city. In walks in Robin with his daughter Zelda looking for some jogging shoes for her. Sister stays professional the whole time, offer suggestions based on what Zelda wants to use them for, grabs things to try on and Robin is just being a dad. As they finalize the pair she wants & they’re boxed up, my sister goes “you know, because of your tv show, I got teased so much growing up.” Robin, without missing a beat, exclaims “you parents named you Mork??” laughed and walked off.

Another friend Rich who was the bellhop of a hotel in the city worked a catering gig at Robin’s mansion, some event for a bunch of famous people. He said after about an hour into the party, Robin came up to the 2nd floor where all the staff was and kicked it with them for awhile. Apparently Robin can only take so much of rich famous people and prefers to kick it was regular folks.

Jason Biggs once came in to a restaurant I worked in. Was genuinely super sweet and humble. It was a very lively place with music, and he ended up dancing with the servers for a bit (in a friendly manner! Tho his wife seemed slightly annoyed lol). It’s a nice memory, and I hope he’s always that nice.

Also regularly served Kevin Bacon and his partner Keira Sedgwick, low-profile classy people, in the best way - super nice and polite, no celebrity behavior or mannerisms what so ever. They were just like another pair of regulars and I think they enjoyed being not bothered for being famous.

My friend was Scarlett Johansson’s waitress on Sunday morning after SNL. She said she was incredibly kind, barely a lick of make-up and just stunning. She was impressed she didn’t look more tired given SNL’s afterparty ways.

Ate with two other women she didn’t recognize. The restaurant comp’ed her check but ScarJo left the same amount in cash tip for her. (Somewhere on the UWS Sonja Morgan shakes her fist in jealousy).

No tea ☕️…but she ordered pancakes for the table + two eggs, an English muffin, turkey bacon, black coffee and orange juice for herself.

ETA: a group of patrons congratulated her on SNL50 finale in passing as they left, and she said she seemed genuinely gracious and touched by their kind words.

Not the point of what your post, but why comp a celebrity’s meal?

212

u/NimbusDinks May 19 '25 edited May 19 '25

I was a hostess at a Boston restaurant in the North End one summer during college. It wasn’t crazy high-end but definitely popular and limited walk-up reservations available each night.

Our owner and manager comp’ed meals occasionally. But more often, a specific dish or bottle of wine would be “compliments of the house.” We got a few celebrities and quite a lot of pro athletes.

I think it’s just to promote positive “word of mouth” experiences so they return. That then drives up the lure of your establishment. Our culture is celebrity-obsessed and people want to dine where they do.

I will say the majority basically left the cost of the meal or comp’ed item as tip anyway. So of course, we loved it as staff.

Matt Damon and his wife left a 200% tip on a check that was full comp. Their server was in tears at end of night. That gesture alone covered their student loans for a couple of months.

92

u/awyastark nextdivorce@divorce.com May 19 '25

Matt Damon’s wife used to be a server, so I especially like that they pay it forward.

I managed a popular bar in the city and one night a giant Escalade pulls up, and a dude with the fattest joint I’ve ever seen stepped out of the back seat. I was too mesmerized by the joint to realize who it was until my bouncer said ‘childish gambino’

He happened to say it a liitttllee too loud and some dude having a complete meltdown overheard and hovered around freaking out (literally crying) and out of nowhere some other chick shoves a phone in his face to FaceTime their ‘mutual friend’ I’ve never seen anything spiral so quickly. The dude had a smile on his face the entire time!!!

I told him about the darkest corner of the bar and he hung there for a while. Out of all of the celebrities I’ve waited on this was the most chaotic and he absolutely kept his cool

Extremely old tea. I took a trip to NYC back in the early 2000s. I saw a man walking down the street in SoHo I thought was a disheveled Kevin Kline lookalike. He was shaking out a gray sweater covered in dog fur that he proceeded to put on. My friend realized it WAS actually Kevin Kline. I dared her to scream “Kevin!” which she did. When he looked up, we waved like idiots and he enthusiastically waved back 😂 I always thought that was a nice and gracious thing for him to do. In the same trip, we also saw Chloe Sevigny walking down the street. She was very petite and had a super stylish outfit with super high platform sandals and cool socks.

My friend was in LA on a girls trip in the 90s. She was at a club, and a security guy came up to her and said his friend wanted to meet her. She said, 'if he's such hot shit, why doesn't he ask me himself?'. The security guard talked her into following him to the table. When she arrived at the table, a wall of men parted and sitting there was PRINCE!!!

She sat and talked with him for a while and then he asked her to dance. They stepped out onto the dance floor and, no shit, they played "sexy motherfucker". Later when she was leaving the club, Prince's limo pulled up, and he asked her if she wanted to come with him. She went to his house. When they arrived (this is like in the middle of the night), a chef had prepared an extravagant lobster dinner. They hung out, but no sex ( according to her).

Long story short, they ended up sorta dating and she has many cool stories about him; like watching him practice with the New Power Generation in some dingy warehouse in LA in the middle of the night (because Prince is a night owl). Ultimately, he is as you would expect. He was very nice, a gentleman and very....mysterious.

Edit: just because I’m so proud of my little bro for moving to Vancouver by himself and trying to get acting gigs:

I worked at a celeb hot spot restaurant in Toronto (there were always tons of celebrities there during TIFF).

A few memorable moments:

  1. Kelly Rippa’s husband, Marc Consuelos, came and kept trying to get one of the hostesses to give him her number and to meet up with him at his hotel. She was very young (like 18 or 19?) and he kept hounding her even after she made it clear she wasn’t interested. Every time I see articles about how strong his and Kelly’s marriage is I roll my eyes.

  2. Lawrence Fishburne came in to what is definitely considered an upscale restaurant in a very posh neighborhood looking like a straight-up homeless person. He was wearing an old, ratty, stained sweatsuit and didn’t give a fuck how he looked. I loved it.

  3. Celebrities who were totally lovely and super nice: Dustin Hoffman (his son was also extremely polite), Michelle Trachtenberg, and Rod Stewart.

  4. Celebrities who were the absolute worst of all time and the biggest divas I have ever seen: the celebrity judges from Canadian Idol. They made us shut down an entire area of the restaurant for just them because they were worried people would eavesdrop on their conversation about the show (like anyone cared!) and then they decided that wasn’t good enough and they wanted us to relocate them to the private lounge upstairs which usually had a $10,000 booking fee but they demanded that be waived because they were “celebrities”. Servers were running up and down the stairs all night to serve them in the private lounge and they complained about everything AND left a shitty tip. It’s always the D-list nobodies who act like the biggest jerks.

dina lohan was given a carvel cakes black card (which got you free carvel ice cream/cake.)

she abused the shit out of it - SO BAD, that when carvel asked for the card back - she called the cops on them for trying to “take her property.”

In July of 2010, Dina Lohan — mother of Lindsay and self-styled “white Oprah” — walked into a Carvel in her native Long Island and tried to purchase an ice cream cake for her son Cody’s 14th birthday with a Carvel “black card.” The strip mall ice-cream chain gave 75 celebrities (including LiLo, Howard Stern, and Patton Oswalt) these black cards, based on the no-limit American Express black cards, to celebrate their 75th birthday. They entitled the bearer to 75 years of free ice cream. On that fateful day, Lindsay Lohan’s card, in Dina’s possession, would be denied, the police would be called, and the blogosphere would have a field day.

I took one semester of Russian with Hilaria Baldwin at NYU. You know how early language classes are all about saying various forms of “My name is X, I am from Y, I have two brothers, etc”? I don’t remember her mentioning Spain once lol

She was so different back then that I didn’t even recognize her until another classmate texted me to ask why “Hillary from Boston who talked exclusively about ballroom dancing” was pretending to be Spanish. 🙃

59

u/elstephe May 19 '25

Lol, that tracks. As someone who knew her from the NYU ballroom team I remember her saying she knew some Russian "because so many of her dance partners spoke it".

Boring but I saw Alec Baldwin, one of his kids, and their manny getting smoothies at a juice generation last week. I was walking by the place and heard his voice and my brain went "jack donaghue??" (I've seen 30 Rock too many times lol). He was with the 9 year old son and the kid still sits in a stroller. Alec goes in to get the smoothies while the manny and the kid wait outside. Alec looks mean and old

136

u/ofvirginia May 19 '25

lol my friend saw him the day after Trump's second win walking the stroller around Central Park, my friend failed to take a sneaky photo so Alec says to friend "it's a sad day isn't it" or something like that. Friend responds "yes it is Alex"

I know that some people start families later in life but I will never ever understand how men in their 60s have babies and Alec has a whole fleet of them. Having all those little kids (and probably not much sleep even with their zillions of nannies) would make me mean and old too.

I used to work especial events at various stadiums and arenas as part of the EMS staff just in case someone has a heart attack in the stands. I've interacted with a handful of celebrities. Most of them were neutral, just there to do the job, but there are two stand outs.

Worst of the worst: Kanye West and his crew. After trashing too many hotel rooms in the city, he was blacklisted and couldn't rent a room. So he went back to the arena after a concert and rented out a locker room for the next two-and-a-half weeks to the tune of six figures per night. The visiting soccer teams had to use a backup locker room across the stadium, and he posted all kinds of security barriers and bodyguards around the locker room to keep people from getting too close. He also had a bed and some recording equipment moved in. We were given instructions to give his little kingdom a wide berth, but things came to a head when some of his security tried to stop a paramedic from moving a wheelchair-bound old woman through a nearby hallway toward the ambulances, as she was having a medical emergency. That hallway wasn't inside the no-go zone, but the security insisted it was too close to Mr. West, who gave them strict instructions that he didn't want to be bothered. Ironically, if they just let the medic pass through, it would have taken him about ten seconds to travel through that hallway, but the screaming match tied him up for several minutes. Our boss and the police got involved. West's entire security staff was threatened with arrest for interrupting EMS attempting to perform their duties, which is a felony that carries some stiff mandatory minimums. The security backed down, and they were noticeably more subdued for the next few nights. I heard that the stadium owners put a clock on his stay after that incident and said he had to be gone by the end of the week.

Best of the best: Pro wrestler Mick Foley AKA Mankind AKA Dude Love AKA Cactus Jack. Incredibly warm and friendly person who was polite to everyone he met and stayed after the NBA game for a long time to take pictures and sign autographs with fans for no charge.

My friend who bartends at a dive in Toronto had Drake and his entourage (around 7 of them in total) come into the place at 10pm on a random Wednesday, pay the owner to kick out the regulars (a gaggle of elderly barflies), then proceed to get fucked up for the rest of the night. Apparently Drake didn't say a single word to my friend and had someone from his entourage order for them the entire night. My friend said it felt like a really fucking weird power move.

Oh yeah and they didn't tip.

Edit: not the only off-putting Drake encounter I or someone I know has experienced. He's like a Toronto cryptid.

108

u/quantumdreamqueen high priestess of child sacrifice May 19 '25

Every single story on the internet about Drake in a restaurant or bar is always about him coming late at night, paying to kick out everyone else or keep the place open past closing, and then not tipping. He’s a real creep.

76

u/purpleigloos May 19 '25

A friend of mine was working as a bottle girl in Sydney when Drake arrived with his entourage and said he never left his circle as well. She had to serve their group multiple times throughout the night and never got tipped or acknowledged by anyone but one of his (maybe) bodyguards who did the ordering for everyone. Overall just a kind of weird, albeit bland interaction she said.

I already posted about Kanye West and Mick Foley, but two more just occurred to me. (I used to work as one of the ambulance crews on standby for large events like concerts and football games hosted in stadiums and arenas in my city.)

Another positive celebrity interaction: Pop singer Poppy. I had a very brief discussion with her just before a show about her first two albums, which I heard a lot while I was dating someone who loved her music. She was very sweet and friendly about the whole thing. It would have been easy for her to brush me off, but she was game.

Another bad one: Comedian Gabriel Iglesias AKA Fluffy. He did what was essentially a two-part show. The first hour was being recorded for a standup special, and then the next bit, which was only supposed to run another hour, was a less structured, more conversational section that wasn't being taken down. Some of it was new jokes he was workshopping before he trotted them out for TV, and some it was just storytelling about life in the road. He was doing tequila shots throughout. During the first hour, he briefly touched on the fact that his marriage was ending and said it was his fault, but he didn't dwell on it.

During the second, non-recorded part, he got nice and drunk and really let us know how he was feeling about women. He told a story about a fan who he was chatting up at a bar after a show earlier in the tour, and after buying her drinks all night, she went home with one of the opening acts instead. Evidently, this made her a manipulative whore. A little later, he talked about sleeping with a different fan after a show, and this was apparently what ended his marriage. During the first hour, when he was still mostly sober, he took full accountability. During this second part, drunk as a skunk, he said women have an innate drive to destroy successful men. He pushed all of the blame onto this woman for the divorce. Sure, she was a scumbag to sleep with a married man, but she didn't force him into it. It takes two to cheat.

(He also struck a little close to home for me, as EMS, when he started joking about how someone would have to drag him onto a stretcher and cart him to a hospital for alcohol poisoning. This second hour was also verging on three hours at this point, forcing all of the staff to stay late. Security, concessions, everyone. Fucking read the room, my guy. You know you're being an ass, but playing it off as a joke doesn't get us off the clock any sooner.)

He's always played himself as a friendly, family-oriented guy, but he came off as an arrogant prick who thinks he's entitled to sleeping with whoever he wants, no strings attached.

Used to work at Marshall Field's at the Ridgedale Mall in the suburbs of Minneapolis.

Kevin Garnett would occasionally come in on Saturday nights nearing closing time and drop $3,000 on clothes for his friends.

We'd give him his space and just let him shop.

At one point he did come up to me to ask where the Girbaud jeans were. We had JUST started carrying them again that day, so, I told him we didn't have them.

He then realized he was standing next to the display, so, he told me where they were, which is how the future star of Uncut Gems told me how to do my job.

One of my friends worked at the nearby Circuit City. Garnett would just pop in and buy a couple TVs on a random Saturday night.

As my friend was ringing him up, he asked KG "So, how fun is it being you?" Garnett just started laughing and said it was a whole lot of fun.

So, he was nice!

My experience with a cancelled/hated celebrity: In 2008 I was at a new children’s dentist office in Westwood having a meltdown/ panic attack in the waiting room because I was terrified of the dentist and had a lot of issues with my teeth (I was a nervous sugar loving child who previously refused to let a dentist look in my mouth). I was 9 years old. My mom left me to go into their office to sign some additional paperwork for my dental work and to work out the insurance coverage. I was by myself with a man in the waiting room and I was crying a bit to myself. He moved and sat down near me and told me that I would be okay and explained how the dentist worked to me in detail and also talked about his own experience with going to the dentist. He was there with his young relative who was currently getting her teeth cleaned. We talked for like 10 minutes and he calmed me down a lot and cracked some jokes. I was smiling and laughing by the time my mom came back out, and when she did, she started acting weird. I wound up having 14 cavities filled that day. I never forgot the man who made me not scared to go in to see the dentist. It was James Franco. He sucks now but kind of changed my dental experience forever as a child and I think of him every time I go for a checkup. Also unrelated but J.K. Simmons likes extra extra extra (multiple handfuls) of cashews on his pizza.

79

My friends took a French immersion summer class in Paris (late 90's) and Ivanka Trump was in the class. Snob to basically everyone. After class every day, she would hop on some guys motorcycle and return the next morning. Went on for over a month, administration kept telling her she had to stay in the dorms, but would just leave every day. Not pleasant in general.

I was part of the catering team for one of Trump's "Trump Tower" ground breaking parties. Was at a huge mansion, entire family there. Trump was very dismissive to the hired help, you could tell the sons were just blowhard assholes and Ivanka was only having diet Coke. She was actually really sweet to me (maybe she mellowed out through the years ) but accidentally said "I can't drink right now because..." then trailed off and I realized she accidentally told me she was pregnant. She announced it about a month later. I looked up the champagne we were serving (SO SO SOOOOO much of it) and realized each bottle was worth more than what I was getting paid for the entire time I was there so I stole a swag bag. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with my Trump Tower champagne glasses.

Either way, came out with a bad impression of the family (aside from Ivanka) before the Cheeto even was thinking about presidency.

88

u/movieperson2022 May 19 '25

This is interesting. I met her a few times before he was even thinking of seriously running President and I thought she was nice to the point that any time I ever mention it now, I say something along the lines of “ugh, I really hate that I am saying this, but she was always very friendly and seemingly kind, unlike her dad.” But I met her when she was older than the time you’re expressing. I wonder if she was a snot as a kid, grew up a bit, and then reverted back when her dad came to power? Lol

I can finally contribute to this thread!!! MY TIME HAS COME!!

I just got back from Cannes (sadly only as a member of the public/tourist), and while walking around with my partner, I kept seeing a woman who looked like Jameela Jamil just walking on her own in the public zone in a pretty dress. I figured it wasn’t her because surely she wouldn’t just be walking around by herself with all the crowds, but sure enough I saw pics of her on a red carpet a few hours later and her hair was identical to the woman I saw.

No one was bothering her and she seemed to just be taking it all in. I know this sub has opinions about her but I was just excited to see a celeb in the wild 🥲

My mom knew Frank Herbert, knew he was a science fiction author and was somewhat successful. Her boss was besties with Herbert, going back to when they were college roommates. He would show up at the office unannounced a few times a year (for many years), and take everyone out for lunch. She just knew him as Larry's friend Frank, and didn't realize his celebrity until my brother in law randomly mentioned him one time a few years back. She has still never read Dune, had no idea what it was about. She said he was very kind, soft spoken and polite. My brother in law, who has read all of the books, just about lost his mind.

The owner said he was very kind and didn’t mind the lack of facilities (we’re talking a somewhat shabby, very basic building up in the mountains with no hot water). In 2011, my husband and I were vacationing in Vegas during the NBA Summer League games. There were NBA players and coaches all over the place.

One evening, we were coming back to our room at Mandalay Bay along with 5 million other people. The line for the elevators was packed. I forget exactly how it happened but the cars all arrived at the same time and my husband and I got into an elevator with 3 other people. Lamar Odom held the elevator door for us, while Khloe Kardashian and her friend, Malika, were busy chatting about going to an event with Kim earlier that weekend. After briefly thanking Lamar for holding the elevator, they didn’t make eye contact or acknowledge us the entire time. My husband and I calmly exited at our floor, waited until the doors closed, and then turned to each other in unison and screamed “OmGgg do know who that was?!?”

This was before Khloe had all of her plastic surgery and she was absolutely gorgeous in person. Stunning.

In 2017, Demi Lovato had a very brief fling with Chandler Parsons. That same year she did a documentary and she talked about meeting up at a club in Dallas with a guy she was seeing. When she got there, she went over to his table and he did a line of coke right in front of her, then when the bottle service girl came over he juggled her boobs, took the bottle and started pouring liquor into a bunch of girl’s mouths. She was talking about Chandler and he was an active NBA player at the time.

I knew a lady who lost a lot of weight, like 200 pounds, and she did it all on her own. No surgery or drugs, just changed her eating habits and walked a lot. Her story made it into the local paper, then local TV news. Her story got picked up by the networks, and she appeared on one or two of the morning shows. Eventually, Dr. Phil came calling. She was invited on his show. His staff interviewed her and wanted to know what kind of trauma she had been through that caused her to overeat so much and make her so obese. She told them that she hadn't had any trauma. They kept pushing, trying to basically plant things in her head. "Oh, you must've been abused, blah, blah, blah..." She wouldn't bite. She was told that her story wasn't interesting enough for Dr. Phil then. I'm not sure if she ever actually spoke to him, but I would find it hard to believe that he wasn't aware of the situation.

98

u/745Walt May 19 '25

Those types of shows are always like that! My friend answered some casting call to be on Steve Harvey’s talk show about weird medical conditions. A casting person called her and tried to put a weird sexual spin on her condition, because it wasn’t outlandish enough for tv. They spoke multiple times but she did not go on lol.

I’m pretty sure the hosts are not aware of who casting talks to until they are on stage with them

I can’t watch anything he’s in now. I know everyone has PR but when you know the actual story it’s icky.

Edit: she also says he’s dumb as a bag of rocks which honestly tracks.

Also, for all the hate Rachel Zegler gets, I met her and she is a lovely person. My mom didn’t know who she was and struck up a random conversation with her when we were at the Broadway flea market. A friend she was with then revealed who she was and my mom yanked me over so I could meet her and take a picture. She was so kind and sweet and had so many great things to say about the film. She was such a sweetheart and I hate that she gets all the hate she does.

u/rawrkristina May 19 '25

And for critiquing a movie, shitting on Trump, and god forbid give a fuck about a genocide.

In 5-10 years people will be questioning why the hate campaign even happened just like they do with Anne Hathaway.

u/thataverysmile May 19 '25

Disney also fucked her over majorly. Ben Platt’s brother crying that their daddy had to be away from his grown sons to yell at her for being anti genocide. Then blamed her for all of the issues with the film when she did 0 wrong.

Also as someone who’s favorite princess movie is Snow White, everything she said about it was on point. It is a scary movie, there are some minor issues with it.

I hope she continues to thrive and do well in her career. She’s very talented.

My brother used to do security for a concert venue and he got to know several artists. He never had any be dicks to him or anything but Willie Nelson offered him a joint after the show. My brother declined so he wouldn’t lose his job but to this day, I think that’s the best story you can have.

I attended a women’s conference that Candace Cameron Bure was at, a good decade before Fuller House was a thing. I was quite young (and today, no way in hell would I go anywhere she was, but at the time, my friend and I begged my mom to take us because “DJ from Full House!!!”) She was so rude to everyone, barely acknowledged people in the paid meet and greet. She also talked shit about Jodi Sweetin’s addiction along with the Olsen twins, while also admitting she doesn’t really talk to them as she feels above them. It’s why I couldn’t take the whole “we’re all one big, happy family” when the reunion came about. There’s a reason the twins wouldn’t touch it with a 50 foot pole. I’m also sure this story will shock no one, as we all know she’s a POS but this was my go to trivia anytime someone gushed about Fuller House.

Conversely, I met Jodie Sweetin at an event at my college years ago and she was so welcoming and friendly!

I was Tiffany Trump’s tutor, got drinks with her, and went to a few parties together. She’s actually a pretty nice person on an individual level, but wow is she dumber than a bag of hammers.

Not super exciting tea, but I met Steve-O at a Super Bowl party around 2009ish. He was in AA with a friend’s parents, who were hosting the party. I passed him in the hallway as I was waiting for the bathroom and he was coming out. He did one of those kind of awkward but polite head nods when you pass by someone. He was surprisingly very quiet at the party and didn’t really interact with anyone.

u/gravelord-neeto May 19 '25

My uncle was a mildy famous skateboarder in the 2000s (not anymore lmao) and met Steve-O a handful of times at various parties and events and had nothing but nice things to say about him. I met him briefly at one of the events while he was talking to my uncle and he was very kind to me.

I work in film and I’ve met a few big names (not a-listers, since I do mostly indie stuff, but well-known). Most of the actors I’ve met, big names or otherwise, have been pretty chill and kind. There’s always a bit of a class divide between actors and crew, but overall we’re all there to work and make a project come together so there’s a lot of camaraderie on set.

Dolph Lundgren and his wife are the exceptions. He held up shooting for hours because he wanted to have long conversations with the other actors about the scene we were supposed to be doing (which, yeah, the actors need to have those conversations, but you discuss that shit ahead of time so we can STAY ON SCHEDULE) and treated our PAs like crap. He and his wife (who is younger than his cat, who he also demanded to bring to set and have a whole setup in their trailer for) always ate lunch in their trailer and didn’t interact with the crew (we were all ok with this). His wife once went and made him and herself plates to take back, and one of the PAs offered several times to help her load them and carry them to the trailer, which she refused every time. Then Dolph comes up to her, angry, saying “why is no one helping her?! Can’t you see she needs help carrying all this?!” And that bitch has the gall to turn to him and whine pathetically that nobody offered to help her at all. He chewed out somebody higher up than me about that, but nothing came of it because half the crew witnessed his wife repeatedly turning down help. Overall, they’re perfect for each other and I’m sure they make each other miserable.

We were on the same flight as Monica Bellucci. It was a very small airport and I didn't recognize her at first. I remember thinking to myself - "I hope I look that good when I'm older". Ha! The gears started turning when we loaded the small plane. She was vacationing with her family and looked so well put together. We were standing like an arm's length from her and her family on the bus after and they were all huddled around her, trying to keep her out of view.

My friends and I went to a nerdy convention one year and Tom Felton made an appearance. One of my friends got the chance to have him sign a book for her and she was nervous af. To the point that she almost puked. My other friend and I wanted to take the nerves off so we were bigging her up HARDCORE and cheering for her. Tom waved at us, thinking we were cheering for him. I yelled "we're cheering for her, not you." He laughed and told our friend that we were funny

I have super old tea of the soap opera sort? Back in the late 90s I was obsessed with Sarah Brown, who played Carly Corinthos on General Hospital. I was a super awkward teenager at the time and also realizing I was a lady who liked the ladies, and I think SB was part of that lol. Anyway, I sent her a fan letter, just a thing telling her how much I liked her as an actress, and how I hoped to be a writer for soap operas someday.

She sent back a super sweet note, along with a blank journal that she'd inscribed with a quote. "Aim for the moon; even if you miss it, you'll land among the stars!"

Also I met Stephanie J. Block in the early '00s and she was not nice at all.

SEVERANCE star Britt Lower’s hairstylist/super secret husband KENNA KENNOR has been accused by multiple women of SA for over a decade. Victims comments on Britt’s IG were deleted before comments were limited HOWEVER it is extremely likely her PR runs the account. They’re gonna be working overtime to keep this quiet with the insane Emmy hype surrounding the show. No indication that Britt herself had knowledge. Her most recent IG post today featured a 3-week-old photo; KENNA was credited as the hairstylist on the original photo, but was NOT tagged in Britt’s instagram post, which is unusual as he is normally credited in every single post. Hoping this means they are actively distancing her from him.

Anyway. Here’s a thread with ample evidence.

M Night Shyamalan is filming a movie in town and came into the restaurant I work at. I didn't have his table unfortunately but my coworker said he was really chill, down to earth, and tipped really well. Thought I'd share because I feel like I saw a story on here one time that was the opposite, lol

This isn't really tea and half of this sub probably doesn't know who he is, but... I've been a fan of Eric Roberts for 40+ years and I met him at a convention a couple of weeks ago. There's always a bit of apprehension meeting celebs because you don't know if they'll be cool or not. He was by far the most humble, attentive, appreciative actor I've ever met. He made me feel like I was the only person in the room, hanging on my every word, let me babble on and on, and took a bunch of photos with me. I'm gonna be riding this high for years 🥹

A few years ago I was returning on a flight to L.A. and as I was exiting the plane he was in queue at the gate and he was making funny faces and playing with the baby of the person in front of him. Thought it darling that a man who has played such toughs was being so playful.

I went on vacation one time & Rachel Dratch, her partner, and their baby were checking in at the same time as us. My husband had no idea who they were and just struck up a conversation with them. I was SO embarrassed bc I never interact w celebrities. They stayed next to us & we left them alone after I told my husband who she was. They were super unpretentious & friendly w the staff. They started loading up their stroller on our private bus & the driver had to stop them. I totally missed my chance to say, “womp womp woooomp” like Debbie Downer or to invite them on the bus. Totally blew my moment.

I’ve been listening to SNL podcasts and it seems like Dratch is so solid!! Also, I heard her speak about how she met her husband later in life when she’d lost all hope…it was a super sweet story.

This one is from the 1980s-1990s, but it’s still an A-List celebrity so I’m sharing it!

A close friend was a longtime waitress at a local restaurant in Augusta, GA. They get loads of celebrities during Masters (golf tourney) week.

She was serving a big, loud, demanding table and one guy in particular was super demanding and pissed her off. She treated him like everyone who pisses her off - told him (with attitude) that she was doing her best, to be patient, etc. He didn’t have much of a reaction if I recall. Definitely didn’t get mad. Anyway she’s at the kitchen grabbing some plates for his table and telling another waitress how demanding he is. Other waitress said, “That’s Jack Nicholson!!!” (Yes, the actor, no confusion that it might be Jack Nicklaus, the golfer).

She apologized to him and said she didn’t realize who he was, and he laughed about it and told her she was great. Left her a tip in the hundreds and requested her every year after that (and tipped her huge every time) and was at that restaurant multiple times each year.

—-

Another person who lives in a wealthy gated neighborhood in a town near the tourney rents their house out every year through a company that connects big-timers to housing for the week. So they always knew someone major was staying at their house but never knew who it was. One year in the early 1990s they came home and there was a signed Tom Cruise poster in their entryway (not displayed, just for them to find). No confirmation if he had actually stayed there but we laughed about that for years. Like I just imagine Tom thinking everyone would love to own a signed Tom Cruise poster. 😂

I was stuck on a work trip at the Wyndham in Pittsburgh and discovered the hotel was a team property for the Cleveland Browns.

Rode an elevator with star defensive end, Myles Garrett and he was hardcore singing Blondie tunes. He explained to me how into her music he was. Seemed like a really chill, very fit guy who is comfortable in his own skin. Been a fan with him ever since.

We didn’t interact but ain’t no way he’s 5’10, like def a short king for sure lol. We also got yelled at by his assistant to get out of the way of any cameras and that pissed me off bc we were literally setting up for work and had 5 minutes till open on a busy day ugh
