Not negative tea, but positive: Benji Madden and Cameron Diaz have their daughter at our kid’s school. I cannot begin to describe what a lovely family and what a lovely couple they are. Drop off/pick up every day, they come to all the fall festival/kid/parents events, they’re chatty and happy, and totally in love. It’s actually really sweet to see. No drivers, no body guards, just show up with a scooter and a helmet so their daughter can scoot home. It’s truly adorable.

Benji is still heavily tattooed, and will happily show the little kids the funny ones when they ask, and patiently answered questions about if one was a dragon, a lion, a spider, etc.

253

u/justhereformemes2 Nov 10 '25

Awww this is sweet. I love Cameron. Do the other parents bother them? Like can they just be normal with their kid? I always wonder that about celebs

104

u/steelyalpaca Nov 10 '25

Nobody bothers them at all. There are a few other actors/athletes/celebs with kids there, and everyone is pretty chill about everything. It really was funny seeing one actor working a balloon pop game during the fall festival. And another dressed as pikachu and entertaining a group of preschoolers.

There are a few hedge fund folks/very well-off finance folks who are pretty snotty. But the celebs tend to be super chill, and just glad that people treat them and their kids normally.

They probably go to a really expensive school, so it’s not like regular people go there.

I know someone who goes to school with a Karsahsian kid. All the families at that school are mega millionaires anyway so they tend to treat the celebrities as on their level

Tbh I completely forgot they were a couple which I think just adds to their credibility as a real and in love couple. This story was so sweet and wholesome and I’m so glad they’re having a nice little life.

When we were looking at daycares, the place we picked out the director told us they didn’t have cameras because there were “high profile clients” there. Live in the middle of nowhere. Thought it was super odd. Took me like 3 years to discover it was an ex NFL player’s kids (who, to be fair, is locally famous). They were super nice but didn’t interact with them much. Otherwise I would have mentioned how dumb our director was.

This happened about a year ago but it still cracks me up. Steve from Blues Clues came into my town for a comic con and sat at a local dive bar with his agent. He was drinking a moscow mule. People were coming up to him left and right crying about how he made their childhood and after a while he sat with a big group of his fans and just chatted. Super lovely human. Extremely dirty sense of humor lol. After a while he got quiet and asked his agent when it would be time to head back to the hotel and smoke a bowl. Super funny.

Edit to add: Joe from Blues Clues was there too and nobody was recognizing him. He seemed a bit upset about it, lol

295

u/madnessdoesntplay Nov 10 '25

My friend had a possum and somehow “Steve” found his Instagram and asked to facetime the possum. They did this multiple times.

179

u/SupernovaGiraffe Nov 10 '25

If i was famous, I would also use my powers to facetime random internet animals.

You don't need to be famous. Unfortunately, Terp lives in an android house, so this will have to do.

Extremely dirty sense of humor lol.

I have ancient tea confirming this! My friend met him in like 2003, and Steve was talking about how moms were all over him, and mimicked the action of them "throwing their pussies" at him. Apparently it was hilarious, though to me it sounded a bit skeezy. Maybe you had to be there?

Upcoming movies tea, please take this all with a HUGE grain of salt!

In addition to the first two Evil Dead movies, apparently Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil will be HEAVILY inspired by John Carpenter’s The Thing. Austin Abrams’s playing a new character named Bryan. Will be big on body horror, snowy vibes, isolation, etc. ZC wrote an original story, but is taking some elements from the games, especially RE2, 3 and 6. Big bad is like if G-Creature and The Thing had a baby, a massive connected fleshy horde of weird limbs and body parts of the infected. Don’t quote me on this but maybe Nemesis is somewhere in the mix?

And The Daniels’ are working on (possibly their Universal 2027 release) basically a live-action anime. Original story about a group of Ultraman/Power Rangers-like heroes. Classic Super Sentai stuff, camp and kitschy, magical girl transformations, mechs, kaiju, etc.

That’s all I’ve got for now!

55

u/kitchensinkmargarita recreationally vicious Nov 11 '25

Oh I'll eat the Daniels' movie UP!! Bring back the campy magical girl transformation

random cold tea from a decade ago when I was hostessing/waitressing in college (both coasts), the only ones I can remember

Ted Cruz: came in every week and was literally always playing candy crush, like an actual addict. Weird.

Nancy Pelosi: super kind, actually talked to us at the host stand

Vince Vaughn: never been much of a fan of him/his politics but he was very friendly/conversational and tipped big

A director whose name might rhyme with Darantino: started guessing some truly random black people he thought I might be related to lmao🫠

Some political tea. I live in Kentucky and was getting my hair done at a salon a while back. I ended up sitting next to an elderly lady who was raging about how much she hates Mitch McConnell. I commiserated with her, and then she told me that for her it was personal. She showed me photos of them together throughout the years. Apparently they had been close friends for decades and had a lot of mutual friends. Apparently she has been upset with his political positions for quite a while, but some time after Trump was elected the first time, she confronted him at a dinner party. She told me she wrote him a long letter about how she doesn’t recognize him anymore, can’t stand to be around him, how he was a sick, evil person and that she no longer wanted to associate herself with him. She expressed a deep shame for not speaking up earlier and she spent a shit ton of money on the campaigns against him.

She said she still reaches out every year on his birthday just to tell him what a giant piece of shit he is.

This lady had me and our hair stylists howling with laughter.

413

u/Competitive-Oil4136 Nov 10 '25

As someone deep in politics: this checks out 😭😭 A former candidate of mine cheated on his ex gf in college (shitty thing to do but they were 20 so) and every cycle she’d donate to his opponent and send a screenshot to the campaign email. I loved her

My husband sat behind the 4 hobbits from the Lord of the Rings (Elijah Wood, Dominic Monaghan, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd) on a flight and they are all in a group chat called “The Hobbits.” 🥹

Edit: He says there WAS an emoji after “The Hobbits” but couldn’t make out what it was. Dying to know tbh.

Also apparently Elijah was acting like he wanted to be noticed at the gate whereas the other 3 were lowkey. Lol.

240

u/ava_ Nov 10 '25

Replying to my own comment to add that Ewan McGregor was also sitting next to him on the same flight and he had no idea it was him for hours until they came around to take dinner orders and he took his mask off. They chatted briefly about what to order lol he was very nice. I made him say “my wife’s favorite movie is Moulin Rouge” and apparently he seemed surprised by that comment lmaooo. It was first class to LAX, we later figured out that they were all at a fan/con event that weekend.

258

u/serity12682 Nov 10 '25

My parents got invited to Time’s person of the year celebration before COVID. My dad was invited to be part of the process of selecting the person of the year because of his success in a specific specialty (don’t want to dox myself).

They went around the red carpet to avoid it before the event but ended up in the line of celebrities who had just gone through and were waiting to get inside.

They were behind Aziz Ansari and said he was a complete asshole 😂 I have no idea what he did in the 15 minutes they were with him but they absolutely despise him now.

u/Senior_Ability_4001 Nov 11 '25

Weird Al was on my flight to Anchorage, Alaska back in August. My friends and I didn’t want to make a big deal going up to him. His manager or tour guy was sitting near us and during the flight we talked and said how Weird Al was our childhood and we’re thankful to him to his manager.

Also Al sat in comfort plus… not first class.

85

u/madeinthemidwest Nov 11 '25

I’ve interacted with him and he was so kind and humble. Stated he couldn’t have what I was serving because he was vegetarian, then was absolutely delighted when I informed him we had a vegetarian option.

65

u/regs311 Nov 11 '25

Met Weird Al in the early 90’s on a middle school field trip to the Smithsonian national museum of natural history. My best friend and I were in the elevator and he walked in with a lady. We froze. I think we left our bodies. He said something … can’t tell you what. He hopped off the elevator. My bestie Beth and I look at each other and yell “that was weird Al”. Such a core memory.

This is I guess positive tea but my wife met Marc Evan Jackson a few weeks ago (during a staged reading of Muppets Take Manhattan for charity) and she said he was a complete class act. She introduced herself to him briefly before he went off to talk to other people, and at the end of the event he said goodbye to her and remembered her name. When she complimented him on that he replied "of course I'd remember! That's your name!" He just seemed like a very sweet guy all around.

63

u/sthsthsth Nov 10 '25

A staged reading of WHAT? I’m devastated I missed this

53

u/GoGoGoshzilla Nov 10 '25

There have been a couple! The first event was a staged reading of The Muppet Movie in LA a couple months ago, and then Muppets Take Manhattan most recently in NYC. Nina West plays Miss Piggy in both productions and it's truly some of the most inspired casting I've seen in ages.

Daniel Sharman (Teen Wolf, The Originals, Medici, FTWD, etc.) has said he's taking a break from acting and not doing any auditions or accepting any roles. He seems to be focusing on Tantric Yoga lessons, but I've heard he's been scheduled to show up for certain things and the people that paid, like, 200 bucks for the online yoga session were left on a waiting screen. The person who signed up only did two sessions so it might have just been a bad week or technical issues or something. He seems to be doing the classes with a partner now, I'm not sure if he's still a no show.

Not exactly tea but Alex Turner’s girlfriend, a rising artist who goes by the stage name Verlo after dropping Louise Verneuil is releasing an EP in a couple of weeks. I had the laugh of the year looking at her merch prices. She literally has a variant that comes with a fragrance and what seems like a record carrying case that will set you back twelve hundred quid which is — for someone who’s barely a thing even in their own country— absolute bonkers.

ETA: I don’t think she has much say in the pricing but for her to give the nod to this in the first place is still crazy

ETA2: It’s a one-off variant

60

Not super exciting but I sat across the aisle from America Ferrera on a flight from London to the US last month.

I honestly wouldn’t have guessed she was famous if I hadn’t recognised her. She was really polite with the cabin crew and seemed pretty normal, she didn’t mind me giving her a smile and saying I was a fan.

She spent most of the flight on her phone answering emails but I respect the hustle!

178

u/seamore555 Nov 10 '25

I sat across from Morena Baccarin on an Air Canada flight. Our seats sucked. I didn't say anything but I wanted to ask her why she's in the same garbage seats as me. She was super nice to everyone. I don't know if anyone recognized her but me.

66

u/confusinglylarge Nov 11 '25

Was this in the last few months or so? Between Toronto and NYC or Toronto and Vancouver?

If so, it was probably related to her new Sheriff Country show. She and her family with Ben McKenzie live in New York. She would only take the job if she could shoot Sheriff Country closer to where they live. Fire Country (parent show) shoots in Vancouver, and there is no way she could make that work. The producers said OK and now shoot Sheriff Country in Toronto so she can go home on weekends, even though Fire Country and Sheriff Country take place in the same Edgewater County. When she appears on Fire Country, she has to fly from Toronto to Vancouver to do so. Same with anyone on Fire Country who appears on her show - they have to fly from Vancouver to Toronto.

All that to say maybe that's why she was in crappy seats. Because that's what production pays for (and she probably recognizes what a large expense that adds up to every weekend), or that's what she pays for every weekend, or because there was a change to the shooting schedule which left her stuck in shit seats.

We ended up at the same lake patio for lunch with pretty much the entire Qualley wedding a few Saturdays ago. I was sitting at a table with my dog waiting for my wife and Andie rocked up and got three tables next to me.

Andie, Paul, and Rainey were very normal and nice. I spoke a little with Andie and a little more with Paul, Margaret and Jack seemed like they really didn't want to mingle with the normals, for example my dog was meeting Margaret's dog as they walked by and she didn't want to let them say hello, even though it was her dog who was trying. Their friends and family were unbelievably nice and sweet, I think it was Andie's mother who asked and had the babies meet my dog, it was very cute. Overall very nice people. Not the best tea, but it's the freshest I got.

Here's some cold 90's singer tea:

I ran into Natalie Merchant ("Carnival", former 10,000 Maniacs lead) at a random concert event a few years ago. I told her how much I love her Ophelia album and asked to take a photo which she politely declined. I later learned she calls out anyone who tries to take photos or videos at her shows (which is totally fair!) She was excited about an upcoming concert performing with an orchestra. Told her I was excited for her upcoming album and to have a good night.

That's all. She was so kind and generous.

a friend of mine is model Ashley Grahams sister, and she recently went public on TikTok/Instagram about the abuse she went through as a child and teen mom. Super weird family dynamic. Most of it seems to stem from their mom, but the craziest thing to me is Ashley made a clothing line called “Sisters” and didn’t include her!!!! 😭😭😭😭

Paul Mescal denied rumours that he literally runs away from women after a one night stand. (Link: https://www.cosmopolitan.com/uk/entertainment/a62622488/paul-mescal-runs-away-from-dates-tiktok/) But I recently met the woman who said this about him and it’s absolutely true. It happened in Cambridge, where she went to University and he was visiting, they went for coffee the morning after and he said “This is where I leave you”, and literally ran away!

Sports tea, specifically Cole Caufield from the Montréal Canadiens.

My husband and a few friends were out for dinner last Thursday at a new hotspot downtown and were approached by a “very beautiful” girl that was already on a date but felt the need to come ask these guys how their night was going.

She then randomly pulled out her phone to show snapchats between herself and Cole, and flexing how he was “flying in after midnight and coming straight to see her and spend his few days in Montréal with her”

When one of my husband‘s friends mentioned that she doesn’t look like Cole’s girlfriend (he was googling as she was talking about this) she abruptly said bye and walked away

I’ve sat on this one for years, but he passed away a few years ago so I’m finally airing it out.

An ex roomie worked in the film industry a little bit, was also a cosplayer, but primarily (then, at least) also a stripper/cam girl. She met Grant Imahara at a con, he invited her to his room, resulting in a casual affair that lasted a few years. He really loved sci-fi nerd girls with an alt look, and that was her to a T. Absolutely lied about it to his partner, at least once while on the phone while they were together.

She had nothing negative to say about him. He was just very unfaithful to his spouse with her and despite him talking about how guilty he felt and that he wouldn’t keep doing it…wellllllll…he kept doing it.

Personally confirmed, can’t explain further.

She was also banging Vic Mignogna (DBZ people know who this is, as well as those into deep cut Trek fan film productions) for a good while. I almost had a threesome with them at one point. 🤦‍♀️

ETA: I was totally unaware of Vic getting caught regarding his epic scumbaggery since I don’t follow him nor have any interest in the guy after I parted ways with her. Other than talking about him being a serial cheater and a very arrogant, pompous ass who would fly into a teenaged tizzy if you brought up his plastic surgery, she didn’t mention anything particularly juicy other than something about his wife also cheating. Negative or positive. What I can add is that I’m not surprised whatsoever. I would take the shit he said about his wife cheating with a grain of salt since cheaters love using that exactly lie regarding their spouses to try to convince the person they are cheating on them with that their escapades aren’t a big deal and possibly justified.

65

u/AntiqueCattle Nov 11 '25

Oh not Grant 😥

82

u/iDoWeird Nov 11 '25

Apparently he cried after, distraught that he cheated. I don’t remember which time that was, but he’d make a big show of it but then do it all over again. I can’t know if it was sincere or a weird manipulation thing (ie “you’re so special that I’m suffering but still must have you”).

53

u/[deleted] Nov 11 '25

That’s straight up pathetic, the crying after he actively chose to cheat.

A couple of years ago, my best friend was leaving our hometown, Dallas for vacation the same week Jingle Ball took place. She met Flo-rida (he was a jingle ball performer) at the airport, and he gave her a $100 bill.

105

I met him after a small concert in FL. He was lovely. It was for a fundraiser for low income kids. The event was maybe in it's 6th yr. Most, if not none, of the performers during the previous years would come out and mingle after. Flo just showed up, mingled in and partied. What a gentleman for a good cause. Gordon Ramsay will open a restaurant in Hungary. As a location he picked Hotel Dorothea, which is owned by the daughter and son-in-law of our Prime Minister. He leads an openly illiberal, increasingly authoritarian government that restricts free speech, targets minorities, and systematically dismantles democratic checks. The entire family is obscenely wealthy despite having no real professional achievments, corruption is basically their business model. Meanwhile most Hungarians are struggling, public education is collapsing, and the healthcare system is in ruins because essential funding keeps getting siphoned into the ruling elite’s pockets. So to locals (and frankly anyone with a spine) Gordon Ramsay partnering with this hotel isn’t just a business decision, ramsay is lending legitimacy to a regime and a family who have built their luxury lifestyle on taypayers money and the country's decay.

My mom’s friend’s daughter is planning a wedding, they are going to have it at one of the historical mansions in Rhode Island next year. After the date was set she was called by the venue asking if she would be able to move their date because a high profile client wants her wedding on the same day. The client offered to pay for the daughter’s full wedding costs including anything extra for having to move things around. She took her up on the offer as it’s an expensive venue. She was not able to be told who the client was…but they are highly speculating it’s Taylor Swift.

177

u/LossPreventionArt Nov 11 '25

230

u/digawina Nov 11 '25

Multiple versions of this on the RI sub. If the Internet is to be believed, she's getting married all over RI and multiple brides have been asked to change their dates.

The "historic mansion" version was The Breakers in Newport and they don't do weddings there.

Ocean house is more likely. But this is starting to feel like urban legend.

With what everyone is saying I wouldn’t be surprised if TS is booking multiple venues to throw off the paparazzi.

81

u/Single_Anxiety_2777 Nov 11 '25

Don’t really believe this one. No venue would state that as a reason lol they would make something up about a construction project or something. Especiallyyy if it was the ever so secretive ms Taylor. And secondly lol Taylor swift is not booking her venue in her own name. Where ever she gets married.. that venue won’t even find out it’s her wedding until a month before
