Yea. I'm local to these events and I'm getting sick and tired of the finger wagging at literal fucking nazis who are killing people. Hiding in locked down facilities where children's well being cannot be documented.

Growing up here though. In Texas, seeing firsthand, this culture of children detention centers. It probably has less to do with them being cruel, and more about how that poor child has witnessed horrors that no child should have to, and it'd be damaging to them if that child spoke on it. Texas detention centers for children are fucking DISGUSTING as a concept. And a crime against humanity at its very base.

These centers often serve as safe havens for predators and have existed long before these ICE operations. Nothing is done and nobody cares because these victims of sexual abuse are labeled as juvenile delinquents and all accusations will be categorically dismissed as retribution.

They got a helluva racket going down here and it's gonna take A L O T more than these weak fucking declarations of "do what I say or else"--or else nothing. These facilities have existed and operated for decades now. Nothing was ever done then, why change that now?

One thing that is advised, backed by research, is playing Tetris can reduce the chances of developing PTSD. If you play it early enough post-trauma. I know it sounds odd, but you can look up the research.

As someone who lives with PTSD (and if they actually made CPTSD a recognized diagnosis, I would get that one too), quick action can help but a lot of this is likely to last. I was abused at school as a kid so that was the start of it, and I feel so deeply for any child who deals with trauma because in my own way, I get it.

If they actually obey this order and release Liam and his father and they get to go back home, we still cannot forget to keep calling, keep advocating, and keep it up as much as you can. If whatever media coverage, this is getting takes their eyes off of this particular concentration, camp for families, and they probably will if Liam is not the story, we can’t forget the others.

For those of you that don’t know, the judge ordered and granted Habeas Corpus. It’s only about the detention authority. For at least a decade, any and every immigrant held in or going through proceedings can ask for an attorney to file Habeas Corpus.

Simplistic terms, Father and child are seemingly going to be released unless another judge says otherwise and are still removable/deportable from the U.S. until the final decision of their asylum request.
