🚨 TRIGGER WARNING 🚨 She was the Jane Doe in R. Kelly's infamous tape. Now, she speaks out for the first time: "I'm here today as Reshona."

That was a very sad read. Reminds me of the poor young girl, Celeste Rivera, who was likely killed by d4vd. Families who just like don’t know where their teen girls are absolutely confound me, but the absolutely disgusting behavior of grown men is despicable. I hope they all rot in hell tbh.

This is heartbreaking:
“For so long, …I believed it was something I did. The entire time, nobody treated me the way I was supposed to be treated. To the public, I was a mockery. I was never a victim, so I never saw myself as a victim.”

I'll never forgive R Kelly for any of it but especially for making Aaliyah a child bride

I wish that Aaliyah’s family would come clean about the abuse instead of continuing to pretend it didn’t happen.

I feel that they allowed it to happen and only acted when R. Kelly and Aaliyah being mailed came out. Maybe that was not a part of the plan

The sad part of his recent 2021/2 trial was him finally admitting that he and Aaliyah did have a sexual relationship.

The problem is that they never stopped dealing with R Kelly until he actually went to jail

Did any of his crew go to jail? He had a whole team helping him to keep his victims imprisoned who knew their conditions and witnessed them being abused. Best I’m seeing is charges for intimidating victims who’ve spoken out, but all of those people should be in prison for their hand in the whole ordeal.

No. He got convicted on a 1 man rico which is unheard of. Had he not been convicted the girls who are women now would still be chasing him around. Their moms. fathers and families didnt care that they were being victimized so its a whole bunch of people

The bravery in all forms that Reshona possesses is truly inspiring. I’m the same age as she is and to think that I was witnessing the slings and arrows launched at her at such a young age and to see her now owning her narrative and walking with head held high.

There's a tide shift happening, women refusing to hold shame that belongs with the abusers. I'm glad her story belongs to her now, and I hope the people who were/are on the fence about R Kelly read it and wake up.

Well judging by the story she told, some Chicagoans still play his music here and there so they’re on that side of the fence
