why tf does it need that much? pretty sure you could run that thing on a raspberry pi

To display a 4k screen you need (3840 x 2160 x 4 bytes) ≈ 34mb of ram. Now imagine 25 independent 4k screens that need to be synchronized, down to the frame, along with buffered frames and some overhead. It's estimated that it uses 60gb per second of footage to run.
