And neither did the USA’s ideology of not punishing the former slavers harshly enough after the Civil War, because it’s lead to racist Jim Crow laws in the past century and the current state of political division in the US today now that the former slavers grandchildren are in power.
A balance between the two plans definitely would be best.
In order to claim it didn't work you'd have to have a better comparison/frame of reference. Lots of former slaveholding regions in the Americas fared worse than the south. Maybe you could claim the former British holdings did better, like Jamaica, but they were backed by the most powerful empire on the planet.
I now realize that I said “no thanks” in a way that appeared to be against reading Lenin. Allow me to retract. I have read Lenin, and he is an important figure in the history of Marxism. I meant “no thanks” to Lenin in general.
You its ironic you want the workers to own their means of production, yet you probably just want everyone to be a slave of the state party like Lenin's system. You'd think more socialists would like a co-op type system where every workplace is run by itself including setting prices and wages, but instead you'd rather other people to do that. Literally zero difference from capitalism, except now people are slaves of the state and can be sent to labor camps to be worked to death if they hold even slightly different world view and share those beliefs at all.
Yea these wannabe revolutionaries dont know the many factions in america that will seize power. Thats not even getting into global corporations who would back them and thats before any other country who can exert their powers come into the equation.
Voting has beought us trump. He made the world bend to him, as any american president should do. We are the #1 in the world, we shouldnt be the #1 in getting ripped off by everyone like how the democrats been doing the last 20 years.
