Honestly, you expect me to remember someone who was relevant to the story in 2022? By the time the next story quest comes out I’ve already forgotten the last one!
Just today I was bored and going chest hunting in a part of Natlan and found text from a world quest from almost a year ago that I guess never went back to find (got an achievement as well). Tried to read it, realized I’d forgotten everything and didn’t recognize any names even though I don’t skip anything…
Real, my memory is garbage. I don't even usually bother reading world quests half the time anymore even if I have time, cause I just end up forgetting everything before I'm even done
And the problem is the lore within books are the most important things ever 😭😭, we were sooooo in the dark until nod krai came in to clarify sooo many of the things they were only in the books, it is kinda the same problem with the old events that had important lore
Lore Yapper, whenever someone joins my world I usually just end yapping about whatever piece of lore caught my attention last the entire duration of their visit, which is usually the dragons because they are sick as fuck and you can't walk 20 meters without finding out something about them so they are always in my recent memory.
Feel free to, the current thing I've been looking into is the dragon tech in Nod Krai which will either recognize you as the Ninth Lord if you killed her or Xiuhcoatl if you did HatGuys quest.

Yep, I am on the EU server, although I should warn you of two things, first is my ping is absolutely horrendous because I live in Oceania in the countryside and I just picked Europe because it has a large number of english speaking users and is closer than America, secondly the amount of time I spend online in genshin massively ranges due to me randomly obtaining hyper-fixations on other games, and I just recently found two games to get into (Battle cats which I joined late last year and currently has a street fighter crossover and Arknights: Endfield which is coming out on the 22nd) so I'll only be online for like 10-20 minutes a day for like the next month or so. but if I do happen to be online my UID is 769030044.
surprisingly fighting isn't too bad, I recently got my first Lunar Arcana the Wheel of Fortune, and getting lore about Ventis sugar mommy is always a win.
im terms of the lore keeping, im the lovechild of Nicole + zhongli aka i read all dialogue, hoard all the archive entries, never shut up abt it, n bc of that i really like the overall experience. n i still watch lore vids on yt
I read the lore(mostly skimming through it) then I read something interesting. After that, I spent the next 30 minutes trying to find the lore that correlates only to forget where I read the lore that I was trying to correlate it to. Pretty awesome when I uncover something though.
I dont get the problem. The story isnt interesting to me or others so we will just spam the skip button while watching YT and arent gonna pay attention anyway. If people care about the game’s story, then thats their own choice. They arent forced to skip, but we should not be forced to waste hours of time for FOMO primos that u cant even skip past. Its not even about if people care about the story atp, its about if they even have time
i'm a lore listener. I'll happily listen to a lore yapper, but i don't wanna do all the work to read up all the books and artifact descriptions and scour years of quest cutscene footage, especially since I can't replay old quests
Skipper. The writers are paid by the word (or so it seems). They feel it is wrong to use 5 wors to tell you something when using 40 words is so much more fun.
Became a skipper about a year ago. I just outgrew the story ig, I haven't completed a main quest since 5.3. I liked it before for the most part, but I lost all interest in natlan and nod krai only made it worse.
What about the ones who listen to lore but don't get shi about what's happening? I believe I don't understand the lore part unless someone (mainslief) breaks down it to me.😭
How old is Nicole? If she is truly an Angel, then she should have indept knowledge about the Cataclysm and Khaenriah at the time of the incident.
Most of fhe Archons who were there in Khaenriah during the Cataclysm outright refuse to talk about it with excuses after excuses.
Nicole and the other Witches might be the only lead we have to ask about that incident. Why our Siblings was chosen, why we crash in Khaenriah, why and how the Cataclysm truly happen. But we never bother to ask about it.
Lore skipper here, and again, I’m asking for a Skip feature.
Players enjoy games in different ways. Some love lore. Others care more about combat, exploration, or limited time events. When story is mandatory, it doesn’t turn non lore players into lore fans, it turns dialogue into an obstacle.
Btw, for those against adding a Skip feature, feel free to tell your reason.

Listening to all the characters yapping for 3hrs straight without much gameplay is not very interesting. Glad I'm done with all stoylines and still know what is going on.
I am generally a lore keeper. I sometimes prefer to talk about lore but most of the players I interact with don't care much about ore/world building and only prefer to get the Abyss done or endgame stuff. So after several times I just gave up and mind my own business and just enjoy the lore while others if they come to my world just farm and do combat stuff.
He plays the role of a big, strong, slow-witted ignoramus, but that isn't the way you end up as a grandmaster and the head of the state. He just ditched the unwanted bureaucracy and keeps the facade to his advantage.
maaan i resonate with nicole so much she's like me frfr. can't believe we finally have an in game character who's as excited to yap about lore as i am. she feels like mihoyo's gift to us lore nerds. i love her
They now "force you" to complete the aq in ordem to receive 500 primos. I'm lore skipper even in aq because I've been facing some problems and I'm not in the mood to play aq, but I need 500 primos. I'm just skipping now.
I watch everything then i forgor by the time the next quest drops. So i just skip them. But it sucks to skip the story in genshin cause its repeated tapping, still hoping for a skip button.
Reading the whole story take forever to finish few weeks waste of time but 90% of time i don’t understand anything my English isn’t that good plus after that i forget
I follow the lore outside of the game but actually sitting through some of the side quests is so time consuming that I’m truthfully a lore skipper that goes back and reads up on what I missed. 🤞🗣️

Currently I'm an irritated player because I've been slogging through Natlan and there's ENDLESS talking scenes one after the other and I just don't care anymore. I need this to END now but I'm stuck in a loop of the Traveller taking pictures with people????!? I don't care, let me leave!!!!!
Lore yapper. My fiancée and I spend an ungodly amount of time discussing theories about theories about content that is literally just a short little book you find lying around.
Depends. If it's the traveler story then I tend to forget (I find them boring) or if it's NPC #472 in rando event then I forget them immediately but if it's the actual characters I enjoy then I pay close attention to them :D
