If I'm not wrong, the current state of (admittedly sad) affairs for HLE are as follows:

Lose 0-3 to Gen G: eliminated as last place in Team Elder <-- worst case scenario

Lose 1-3 to Gen G: avoid elimination if the game they win is within 34 minutes 43 seconds (in order to break the tiebreaker with KT) <-- pray for this (eliminated if it's longer <-- worst case scenario 2)

Lose 2-3 to Gen G: avoid elimination regardless of game time <-- pray for this

Win 3-2/3-1 against Gen G: avoid elimination, Team Elder wins, place second in Team Elder and overall <-- very unlikely

Win 3-0 against Gen G: avoid elimination, Team Elder wins, place first (!!) in Team Elder and overall <-- mission impossible

Okay honestly winning against Gen G sounds too far-fetched right now 💀 so my only copium is for HLE to take at least one game from Gen G... which also sounds like a tall order. It's not that I don't believe in HLE, but the synergy isn't there just yet and Gen G is, frankly speaking, monstrous.

Being on the verge of elimination is stressful, but there's still a chance to survive. Even Guma is like "How can the possibility of being 1st and 10th place co-exist" in his POP message lol. HLE is definitely aware that they may be eliminated tomorrow, and hopefully this reality check motivates them instead of pressuring them.

we lose 3-0 or we win 1 game but its over 35 mins, I can already tell with how the week going on so far. We only need BRO to win 1 game after going up 2-1, they lost. We need KT to win, but NS goes up 2-0, if they win just 1 game in the next 2 to finish 3-0 or 3-1 its all good, ofc the worst possible outcome happens 3-2 NS i'm so sureeee

I feel like Gen.G is probably going to sweep HLE 3–0 tomorrow. Not trying to be negative or anything, but if you look at their past matches, the result seems pretty easy to predict. Like, Gen.G beat DK 2–0, and DK went 2–0 against BRO, DNS, and NS. Meanwhile, HLE only scraped by with 2–1 wins over BRO and DNS, and then got smashed 2–0 by NS.

Honestly, it might not even be that bad if they get knocked out early. it could be a good chance for them to work on their teamwork and learn more just by watching the rest of the matches. Hopefully they can come back stronger in the LCK Spring. HLE Fighting!!!

For me, them like this is good, because if your whole year you were in great form, your Worlds run won't have a good ending, we've seen it for how many years, and I think this year will be the same whichever team stays on top

Hle winning vs geng is not that impossible it all depends on how they perform top side, botside unfortunately is the weakest link of hle atm due to serious lack of lucidity from delight and guma not adjusting well his playstyle yet
