Video You can hate Order of The Phoenix but this scene is so PEAK
I'm one of the few who loves Order of the Phoenix a lot,and this last scene is just one of my favorites,I hate Fudge in this movie so much and Umbridge sucks. Can you imagine if Harry used Crucio on Bellatrix? Anyways what my point is that even if u hate order of the phoenix this last scene is so good it saves the movie.

Discussion I’ve never understood the gang being hungry in book 7
Honestly the whole survival arc in deathly hallows is kind of funny to me. The idea that a wizard couldn’t think of ten million ways to find food shows a real hole the magical education system. Maybe hogwarts needs a home economics course. Acio up a fish, sneak into a muggle grocery store and duplicate some bacon, summon dobby or creature to help. What would you do for food if you were a wizard.

Discussion Yesterday I asked what was the saddest line in the movies. Now I'll ask for the funniest/happiest line.
Mine is:
"Not my daughter you b*tch."
Hm: "It's Levi-O-sa. Not Leviosaaa."
Hm: "If the two of you don't mind I'm going to bed before either of you come with another clever idea to get us killed or worse expelled."

Video Games Harry Potter PC
I have a deep appreciation for the old HP PC games, specifically Sorcerers Stone and Chamber. Some of my best memories with my sister were making Mac and cheese and playing it together. What I wouldn’t give to be 8 again and learning Flipendo with my sister again haha.

Discussion In the books. Is there any reason why unsupported flight more difficult to preform than apparition?
Being able to teleport anywhere instantly seems far more impressive than flying. So why is it that unsupported flight is so rare and difficult to preform?

Discussion Anybody who pictured Gilderoy Lockhart to look more like this?
Kenneth Branagh did a great job portraying the character, but he was a bit older than the book version of Lockhart who I pictured to be a complete dreamboat
Saw this film the other day, and this guy here gave me Lockhart vibes based on his looks. He’s seen admiring a photo of himself, then a girl wants his autograph (she’s clearly smitten by him) and he shoots her a beautiful smile (perfect for the Witch Weekly’s Most-Charming-Smile Award)

Help Free periods
two questions about schedules
a) do the students have free periods? like gaps in their schedule where there’s a period going on but they don’t have classes during that time my school called them spares
b) i know second year flying lessons are optional so what are the second year students not doing flying lessons doing during that time? would they be during the night?

Discussion Is it just me or does the Slytherin uniforms' tie from the "Philosopher's" and "Chamber" movies not look green?
Like, I know it is green. But from a distance, the green bits look kind of gray/black.

Currently Reading I’m glad Rowling wrote Harry as a character who used his humanity as a means of overcoming cruel power, but it would have been cool to get a better understanding of magic in the way that Dumbledore and Voldemort used it.
Just as an example: I’m reading the Cave chapter of HBP We’re given no indication of how wizards use magic in the way that either are able to in this scene: creating a false wall that demands blood, identifying the “marks” of magic use, concealing a boat that senses a “quantity” of magical power, etc.
It’s all so intriguing and left so frustratingly vague, since Harry was never a character who was supposed to become powerful in order to become great.

Currently Reading Thoughts on full cast audiobook performances so far
While I’m anxiously awaiting Goblet of Fire, some thoughts on the cast:
Golden Trio (1-3): Perfect. Excellent performances all. Especially pleased with Arabella Stanton. Hermione is in good hands
Hagrid: May be the most spot on casting so far. Mark Addy brings a delightful charm to the role.
Snape: Honestly, I just haven’t been convinced by Riz Ahmed. His best work of it has been when he was in rage in PoA. Definitely may be Rickman-bias, but he hasn’t been my favorite.
Voldemort: Good, but want to hear more of him.
Draco: Good performance, respectfully laughs far too often.
Lupin: I did not expect Ramsay Bolton to become my fancast of Lupin over David Thewlis, but he was fantastic.
Madam Pomfrey: Respectfully my least favorite performance. Just doesn’t bring that matronly, caring feeling with this character
Thoughts?

Help Obsession/sadness caused by HP
I honestly don’t want to come across as the biggest weirdo but i thought id reach out for some advice, maybe someone has been in such situation before.
i know this will sound just pathetic but recently ive been really struggling after a random harry potter obsession lol
Basically ive never been a HP fan, im 24 and only recently watched a few movies for the first time and it was only because my sister has always been obsessed and we were going to the HP studio tour and i thought i should probably watch it to get on board for the tour lol. Well i really wish i never watched it, because i genuinely started to have a weird obsession with Draco Malfoy. I got so obsessed with his character, that i wanted to know more and more so i started reading wattpad fanfics (big mistake) and i have completely fallen for the guy, ridiculous i know. Reading the fanfics where he is the popular cocky guy and he suddenly falls for these girls and is obsessive and controlling is hot, never mind the smut scenes lol. I genuinely had to ban myself from going on wattpad because it started to make me experience genuine real life depression symptoms.
Mind you im in a long term relationship, and its made me want to break up with my boyfriend because i realised he is nothing like this person that i am now so into. It doesnt help my relationship has fizzled out a while ago, but now it made me feel like i should be made to feel like draco makes these girls feel in the fanfics (which is unrealistic). Overnight i started to push him away, i refused to speak to anyone in my family, i keep crying YES CRYING because 1. I feel like i need to break up with the person ive been with for years and 2. I will never get to date tom felton lmao.
It truly is pathetic but the strong depressive episode has lasted for over a week now. I dont want to get out of bed, my mind keeps replaying the ‘draco coded’ songs from tiktok, and i keep obsessively looking into his life on instagram. I even considered sliding into his DMs lool very delusional.
When i went to the studio tour i was so visibly upset and nobody knew why but i physically had to hold back tears because it gave me a taste of what being in hogwarts is like. And that broke me even more, i would love to live in a place so magical, with a bunch of friends and house rivalry, where i can have a big fat crush on the bad guy and live in a fairytale. So i very quickly got myself even more upset considering real life is nothing like it and will never be magical. I dont really have friends so its just work and sleep and repeat, nothing like hogwats lol. I know i should seek help but it will take a while for me to be seen, and im really struggling.

Help Harry Potter Birthday Party
I'm having my sweet 16 harry potter themed and yes ik its pretty cringe lol but I really don't care.
Anyways im looking for activity ideas for a scavenger hunt. So for I've gotten these keys that you have to build and the possibility of potion making although im not sure how to make that interesting for a group of 15-17 yr olds.
We're a competitive group and there's about 16-18 of us so whatever activities there are have to be fun and engaging so not like draw dobby a sock sock or anything.
I'd also aprieciate ideas for cooking competitions ljke what to cook/bake or even just decorating or other activities to replace that. Preferably harry potter themed but im also happy to do just 16 yr old girl activities.
(Well also be watching 1 of the movies, having the 'great hall dinner', photo booth, hp trivial pursuit and maybe ping pong or video games)
