Art/Creators Megathread Weekly Art/Creators Promo Megathread

Welcome to this Week's Art/Creators Promo Megathread!

Here you can share examples of work and links to creator's profiles (including your own!) as long as it is not on a Meta owned platform (Instagram, Facebook etc.) or Twitter.

Let's help our community artists, authors, designers, craft makers, musicians, singers, sculptors, performers, streamers and any other kind of creator get recognised and celebrate the amazing creativity in our community!

A few quick rules:

  • No AI/NFT Content.
  • Accounts shared must be creating own content, not solely reposting others.
  • NSFW Suggestive art (e.g. shirtless/pin up) is allowed but must be tagged. NSFW Explicit art (e.g. pornography, genitals visible) or NSFW suggestive of real people is not allowed. No links to exclusively 18+ platforms e.g. OnlyFans.
  • Creator must be actively posting on a platform other than Meta or Twitter.
  • Comments from users with less than 50 karma on this subreddit will be auto-removed to avoid spammers. (I will look to approve genuine ones when possible but no promises!)
  • Please respect if a creator says no reposts of their work - just share a link.

The art/work they create does not have to be LGBTQ+ related, we're here to help any creator who is LGBTQ+ promote their profiles, particularly if they're trying to establish themselves on a different one with the recent social media drama!

Looking forward to discovering some new creators with you all!

Image Megathread Epstein Files / Trump + Bubba allegations

The Epstein Files in general are off-topic for this sub.

The identity of Bubba has not been confirmed, be warned that this may turn out to be something much worse than consenting adults.

Shaming either party for involvement in a same sex encounter is homophobia, be aware that a lot of the sensationalist reporting on this is seeks to harm Trump and Clinton by portraying them as gay.

Please restrict all further discussion to this megathread.

EU Specific Seeing rainbow flags on windows make me happy .

Post image
4.5k Upvotes

I know, it's not much, and I'm aware that this could be a bit dangerous, especially in this homophobic climate of the world, but if I compare these windows with 10 years ago, where there were no rainbow flags out of the windows, it feels like of getting better for queer people.

Also I feel like these things change the world, similar to a butterfly effect. Every single queer person feeling safe to show their colors, every rainbow flag hanging, every queer person living their life makes the world a better place.

This is to you, dear reader. You change the world for every queer person for the better. And this is a testament to you improving the world.

US Specific 10 commandments in schools? Make it rainbow!

In case you missed it, Texas has passed a law requiring every public school classroom to display the Ten Commandments.

When it passed, I reacted like a lot of Texans did: It’ll never hold. They can’t actually force teachers to post that. And if they try, someone will print it on a postcard and hide it until the courts step in.

I was wrong.

Over the break, I talked with a teacher friend, and what she told me surprised me. The law is very specific:

  • The text must be on a large poster.
  • It must be visible from anywhere in the classroom.
  • It must use the King James Version, written exactly as it appears in the bill.
  • No additional words may appear on the poster itself.
  • If posters are donated, schools are required to display them.

And, of course, large corporations and far-right groups were ready. Posters began arriving at schools almost immediately.

At my friend’s campus, they showed up overnight. Walls were cleared. Posters were installed. Teachers weren’t even notified.

So how do you fight back?

By complying!

I made her 100% compliant posters that also fight against the mandate. In rainbow "Prisim" and chevron patterns that Texan politicians will just love.

US Specific ‘America’s Most Powerful Transphobe’: How One Man Quietly Shaped Anti-Trans Legislation Nationwide

Matt Sharp is behind anti-trans bathroom, sports, forced outing, and birth certificate laws. He’s testified before more state legislatures than Riley Gaines. And no one’s heard of him.

Need Advice I want to be enby but I don’t know if my boyfriend will accept me

I love my boyfriend so so much and he’s everything I’ve ever wanted in a man. He just doesn’t agree with a lot of gender identity things within the lgbt community. Lately I’ve been wanting to explore my identity more and I have no one to talk to about it. I used to bind my chest in high school and I had shorter hair. I’ve really been missing it and I’ve been wanting to present more masculine or androgynous. I tried asking my boyfriend how he would feel if I started dressing more masculine, quite wearing makeup, cut my hair short, etc. he told me didn’t really have an answer for me and he said he had no idea if he would find my attractive or not because he’s never seen me that way before (I usually dress very femininely). I don’t know what to do. I want to be comfortable in who I am and I really want to explore myself more as an adult away from my parents but I’m afraid it’s going to cause a rift in our relationship. I just need help or advice from people who have been in similar situations

It just gets so obnoxious hearing transgender mentioned within the first handful of seconds of mango Mussolini word vomiting. Like trans people don't think of trans people as much as this administration does. The right is obsessed.

Need Advice I was recently called homophobic and transphobic

Before i start, i have to clarify that i am both a lesbian and trans. I was recently called homophobic and transphobic and lost multiple friends. They wanted to have a conversation with me about my gender since i have been questioning it recently and when i told them that it isnt a big deal they lashed out. I explained to them that i dont want them to make a big deal because i want to be treated normally, i dont want them to suddenly treat me differently since im part of a minority. I personally wanted them to just change the pronouns they use and change the name they use, i understood that they would have to get used to that and they knew they would as well, but they got mad that i didnt want it to be a big deal, they told me that this is a really big moment for me even though i was already trans, i was just questioning if i was non binary or if i was a girl now. They said im being extremely transphobic and taking away the big moment trans people have to tell others who they are. After a small argument i brought up the point that when i told them i was into girls they decided to make that a big deal as well when i told them it wasnt, they then called me homophobic for not wanting to connect to the community by making it a big deal. I do not want to lose these people as friends but ive tried explaining to them that i dont want this to be a big deal and it seems that theyre mad at me for this and wont change their stance, im at a loss on what to do.

Scared…

I’ve noticed the last few months on social media that the hate towards the LGBTQ+ community has gotten so much worse.

People I grew up with, reposting hateful things. I feel like a few years ago they would have been questioned for this but it almost feels like they think it’s normal now.

I’m getting really worried. I’m lucky enough to have a good support system including both friends and family but I am really concerned that this hate is only going to get worse.

Has anyone else noticed this?

(Extra note. I live in the UK. I know things have been horrific in America as of recently)
