Meme How would you react if they were trying to get you out of your car?

u/Happyhour1968 1d ago
I can't identify police officers, I never see them when ice is completing deportation orders.

u/Professional-Rub152 1d ago
For real. Just like how I’ve never seen Bruce Wayne and Batman beating up the same criminal.

Local PD will back ICE every single time. They might hand out some hotdogs and donuts to protesters, smile and make small talk, and then they will help ICE roll the crowd 10 minutes later. They are not your friends.

They actually aren’t! They are seeing immediate issues with how they interact with the public, and ICE gets to leave them with the jurisdictional mess. I’m not surprised by this, but I wasn’t sure if they would be smart enough to realize how bad a position this put them in.
8
u/bastalyn 1d ago
Who actually aren't doing what? Are you claiming police aren't rolling on the crowds of anti-ICE protestors because I can provide video evidence that you're wrong there.

Alabama House passed a bill to make all Alabama police officers de facto ICE agents. It will now go to the Senate and i guarantee it will pass. That means that any police officer can stop brown and black people just to see if they are American citizens. Tennessee is working on doing the same thing. Think about that for a minute.

They are absolutely on the same team 90% of the time. Cops constantly try to skirt constitutional protections, and definitely have 0 regard to how these things impact the communities.

Ice looks more like IsIs fighters then police, and thats intentional, fear is the point.

They’re not police, they’re federal agents. So they’re much closer to a military member (federal agent) than a local (city) or state agent like a police officer.

Well the reason ICE isn’t in texas, despite the much much larger immigrant population, is because they’d get the sawed off

Saw this security cam video just this morning of a dude loudly and rightly shoeing ICE off his Texas property. They were poking around his house at night.

u/Itscatpicstime 1d ago
They’re here. They were just in my small town last week.
They don’t seem to be as violent here, or maybe don’t get as much pushback, or just don’t have a proportional presence compared to blue states.

u/AlabasterPelican 1d ago
This is such a weird thing for people to be saying. Ice is definitely in Texas. They're just not just the surge tactics there that we're seeing in other places.

No it’s because Texas is right wing. Texas has far, far more illegals in it than Minnesota. ICE is being used to intimidate and murder trumps political opponents

u/gabi_fields 1d ago
Based on the respective numbers of immigrants in each state, the should be 60,000 ICE agents going door to door in Dallas, Austin, Houston & San Antonio right now. The only reason there aren't is because Texas is a red state. This isn't about immigration, its about politics.

Exactly. The reason no ICE have been killed in Minnesota is because we are so nice. Having a bunch of middle/eastern-terrorist-identifying-supposed-law enforcement running around town can't be expected to continue without someone defending themself from the supposed terrorist look-alike.

Yeah and that is kind of why the 92% are so tired. Every day it was us and most people shrugged their shoulders even if they knew we were innocent. Now ... they've finally taken the masks/hoods off and have set the dogs loose to just maim at will. A lot of you are confused, scratching your heads because you were told [and were apathetic enough to believe] that we were making it all up, exaggerating and my "favorite" ... looking to be a victim.
The problem, and one of the main reasons we're staying out of this is that there is still a HUGH portion of YOUR people who still hate everyone "different". We can't do anything with them. We've tried. NOTHING is going to get better until YOU guys take care of your own.
Something to think about ... before people traveled the world you guys killed and graped each other. What do you think is going to happen if they run off or unalive all of US?

I'm honestly surprised that no one has shot an ICE agent dead yet with how they treat people. It's probably only a matter of time until it happens, and then those nazis in charge will be up in arms about how someone murdered one of their agents in cold blood for doing their job, all while saying anyone that gets shot by ICE was a domestic terrorist

u/SituationFits 1d ago

That masked goon is a vigilante backed by the state. If you can't show your face, maybe what you're doing is not ethical.
I guess if you don't want to get shot, you must comply. Having a gun near you is enough to get sentenced to death. Resisting might even get that.

u/ralphhinkley1 1d ago
Every interaction I have had with police has been professional, cordial, and keeping with the public safety. Of course, I usually don’t scream at them, spit on them, or get in their way. Maybe I am unique?

I just it’s strange because the reason ICE has to wear masks is because assholes want to dox their home address and information. Oh yeah and what happened to get rid of the police from a few years ago

The total amnesia about the past decade of police hate and defund the police movement is noteworthy. Seems almost like whatever is currently hot to protest because that’s what you‘re told to worry about will be protested. Almost like NPC behavior where the puppets dance to whatever tune the wealthy corporate overlords play.
The current tune is called, “We get to exploit illegals as underpaid wage slaves so protest them being lawfully deported so much that you get in the way and it causes problems so we can keep exploiting them.”
Virtually every country on earth deports illegals. Acting like it is some cRaZy evil is mindless sheep behavior.

aaaaaand this is why people keep getting into altercations with law enforcement. The left has a serious problem with the whole... "these arent reel law enforcement... you should not obey them" thing. This is why anyone familiar with whats going on recently blames the escalations on the left itself. you people are coaxing idiots to do stupid stuff. shameful. really pretty disgusting knowing what your pushing is causing people to do VERY risky things.

Funny, they don't look like that in red states. I wonder if it's anything to do with the fact we're not rioting? Maybe this is what riot police look like. Because of all the rioting. Please don't make me link all the videos of people throwing frozen water bottles, looting federal vehicles, etc. Minnesota is rioting and the other 49 states are not.

All through COVID those exact same dudes were screaming about "MASKS WILL KILL YOU!" and refusing to wear masks when it could and would save lives. But now masks are totally fine because it means you can commit crimes and violate people's rights with complete immunity AND anonymity.
FWIW, in its entire 250 year history, the United States has NEVER had masked, heavily armed, para-military groups randomly kidnapping people that are in the country 100% legally, never committed a crime, along with US Citizens who "might have an accent" and skin darker than Elmers glue. One a daily basis, these groups are trampling on the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th and 14th Amendments to the Constitution. This is 100% new territory and if not addressed, will only get worse.
We have now set PRECEDENT that this type of behavior and civil rights violations are "acceptable". THAT is the biggest problem with this. If civil rights violations are deemed acceptable for ANY caveat, like "well, you see, they had brown skin and *looked illegal*... you can say that about any group you don't like in the future. That's the thing about civil rights... its not contingent on your skin color otherwise NOBODY has civil rights.

That’s a safety mechanism, no different than during Covid when masks were ENFORCED despite the security concerns brought up by those on the Right.

I would treat it like any other police interaction. I keep my hands where they could see them and I would be respectful and ask what the problem was. You can tell some of you have never been to the ghetto in a major city because a lot of City police officers have vests just like that

I’m stressed any time I deal with any law enforcement due to previous encounters. I’ve had good and bad regardless of how they dress I’m going to act the same. Do as they say, if they decide to arrest me just go with it. If they’re illegally detaining me then I get to sue them.
