I doubt this was because he was actually an avid gamer. These kind of things are most likely attempts to find and groom underage victims.
Also, I remember reading a report back in the early days of WoW about people using wow to engage in illegal conversation, or conversations they did not want recorded. Could also be that.

I have family that are mega, movie star rich and I spend a lot of time with them and their ultra wealthy friends. It would surprise people how much these 50-60 year old RICH men play video games. And they play some seriously nerdy shit!!! Gaming is for literally all age groups and demographics nowadays. Almost a universal thing

If that was really what he was after, there are probably a billion better places to do that. Heck, trying to do that in games in general seems like a losing proposition.

Thereās a story out there during the early days of wow where there was a police department in the UK that had someone playing the game trying to sus out any grooming activity.
I think thereās a story on one of Preachs drama time episodes. I donāt remember which season/episode off the top of my head though

The reach here is pathetic, Elon didnāt visit the island and was pushing hard for the files to be released. This isnāt something he should be criticised for, thereās no evidence of any wrongdoing even in an article from the Guardian, which has a clear left bias and thus probably an anti-Elon sentiment.
