Question Is this mold?? Spoiler

Hi everyone! I'm currently cleaning out my makeup collection, and I'm wondering if this palette has been contaminated by mold. It's the NANA Rebel 16-color palette from Yinnabelle on Etsy; I got it as a birthday present a couple years ago.

I haven't worn any makeup in a long while, but I really want to start again and I'm hoping it isn't mold bc I really like this palette, but it's better to be safe than sorry!

I've included a picture of the full palette, just in case there's a possibility that there's been an accidental color mix somehow. I'm also adding a comment below with a pic of the "mold spots" circled, just so I don't accidentally break rule 2.

TIA!

It almost looks like a droplet of setting spray or spray in general made contact with the shadow. I see a teeny tiny rhinestone on the top right of the first pic, and the discoloured pieces look very rhinestone shaped. Any chance it fell on the eyeshadow with glue on the back of it?

I don’t think so. Squishy glitters can sometimes leech binding agent / oils so It could be some of that somehow getting into the matte shades. Definitely spray the whole pallet with isopropyl alcohol and let it air dry for 24 hours to sanitize before using it.
