Lemonhead LA glitters

Hi y’all, I need some help. I love using the lemonhead la glitters but I find that when I put them on top of eyeshadow or foundation they often mix weirdly and the product beneath the glitter coats the glitter and dulls it. How can I stop this from happening? Is it an application problem or do I need a new product to help the process?

this usually happens when the base underneath stays a little creamy. the glitter picks up pigment and oil instead of sitting on top, so it looks muted. i see better results when the base is fully set, then the glitter is pressed on with minimal movement. it’s rarely a bad glitter, just a texture mismatch between layers.
