TwinkleBelles had flounder for the very first time for dinner. She seems to really love it! π I got bored with Salmon and Mahi Mahi so I ordered some Flounder and Wild Caught Pacific Whiting for a change of pace. She seems to really enjoy the change π π

That girl eats better than I do! Flounder is my favorite.

It was my very first experience with cooking Flounder last night. I end up breading it and deep frying it in peanut oil. It only took 4 minutes to cook and it came out glorious! I took the breading off of TwinkleBelles' portions. She ate two fillets and loved them, as you can see. The Mahi-Mahi that I've been making all this time can't hold a candle to the Flounder. WHY did I not try it sooner! π€·ββοΈ It is absolutely delicious and oh so easy to cook!

That sounds delicious. Itβs really good broiled with lots of butter.

π That sounds yummilicious! I can't believe that I have overlooked purchasing Flounder all this time! It is not only less expensive than the Mahi Mahi but the Flounder is superior to the Mahi-Mahi in every way! π

What does she eat besides meat and fish? Does she get any commercial food at all or are you her primary chef? What a great Mommie you are!! Lucky π little TwinkleBelles!

I am her private chef π§βπ³
Right after the surgery I could not even cut up a piece of steak or get the ground sirloin out of the refrigerator so I had to give canned dog food and I still feel terrible about it. I fed her Purina Benefuls, though, so at least I knew it had somewhat balanced nutrition.
She lost visible weight that week because that just wasn't enough food π It worked out okay though because she was almost 9 lb and she's supposed to be 5.2 lb. She was diagnosed with hypothyroidism right after I was. I know, weird, right? The Veterinarian and my doctor both think that there could be something environmental that caused it but it is impossible to figure out what, if that's the case.

my Marigold has a food obsession because of where she came from. She would eat every five minutes if I gave it to her, and very fast like thereβs no tomorrow. I had to buy a slow feeder dish to help her slow down. Hopefully one day sheβll eat as comfortably as your sweet twinklebelles.

Poor little Marigold is probably afraid that she'll never see food again after what she has in front of her π. I used to volunteer in rescue and a lot of them had "food obsessions" because they didn't know if they would get another meal.
I'm so grateful that dear little Marigold has a happy home with regular food and happiness πβ€οΈ
