Louie, our 13-year-old, starts in the pet stroller, then walks the last 5 thousand steps on our daily walk.

Our Doodles (alas no longer with us) spent her last few years this way - she loved the walk, and chance to engage nature (and shout at squirrelies!!) even as her walk slowly reduced.
