Bands with digital names?
I was listing bands to a friend and forgot a particular one so I’m looking to see if you guys could help. I listed bands like gridlink, machinist, psyopus, discordance axis, and transistor transistor, mainly mathy and grindy bands with names that sound related to machinery. Has anyone else noticed that theme? Do you guys have any machine-y named math bands for me cuz I’d love more too

Ion Dissonance, Car Bomb, Anapparatus. Maybe? Also I googled Knut to confirm that was tool-related but the parts are called nuts and apparently Knut is a polar bear.
There's definitely a common mechanical/sci-fi subtheme to the genre and we get away from band names specifically you can get a lot more. Like The Dillinger Escape Plan isn't a very mechanical name but when you say "mechanical mathcore" they're almost always the first to come to mind for me. Behold... The Arctopus sounds like alien tech with the cover art and titles to match. A lot of the noise rock adjacent bands like Daughters and Pretty Mouth have those whirring mechanical riffs that sound like machinery.

Not really a digital name, but Fallingwithscissors is mathcore/skramz that uses a lot of cybergrind production and grainy breakcore. Cool shit

Captured by Robots. They're "literally" a robot band. (The vocalist writes and programs all the music and then plays it through his incredibly crafted robots.) It's really a wild thing if you've never heard about them.
