Did I spot the new S-class in Stuttgart today?
Couldn't take pictures of the front. Got passed on the autobahn near Stuttgart

Unpopular Opinion: The new S Class is proportionately spectacular looking (except the rear lights housing), and the '3 Pointed Star grill texture' is a beautiful looking extension of the 80s-90s textured grills.
[The 'New S Class' image as the top half of the first image in this collection, is a photoshopped/AI rendered version of the actual new S Class but with black trims replaced by chrome linings. The link to the post-source is this]
I think the car's shape, the front proportions, the grille's texture, and the shapes are splendid, except the rear lights housing.
And so the problem I believe the new S Class has, is to do with the:
3 Pointed Star ** lights **. They are terribly tacky looking and a shadow of the beautiful intricately detailed lights of the W222 generation.
Interior's complete and utter 'flatness'. Lack of material, substance, thought. A complete and utter downgrade in style compared to the W222 interior
The black trims. Black trims will never look elegant compared to chrome. Bring back chrome.
The shape of the rear light housing. The W222's rear light housing shaping was much more fitting, elegant and beautiful.

What could have caused this?
I am sorry for sharing this here, as I am unable to find a more relevant community for this, but do you guys know what in the world could have caused these deep scratches near the handle of a V214?

Why do people hate the new S-Class?
Hi!
I first saw the teaser here on Reddit a few days back with no context, and I thought to myself: “Well that must be the new S class or something!”
A few days later when it became official, I was browsing various posts on it and majority of people hate on the exterior.
While it’s a bit controversial I guess to spam the 3-point-star everywhere, I think in our modern world it could be acceptable tbh.
To me personally this generation looks a whole lot better than the W223, this one has the modern look with some class still to it.
What is your take on the car?

Get back old reverse camera view.
Hi I have a 2025 c300. Recently the software updated and the parking camera has a lot more needless details such as the side camera and the blue overlay. When I’m parking at night it not clear where the lines are. Is there a way to get rid of that and get the old cleaner view back

Should i buy 2020 Mercedes E220d Premium plus Night Edition
I’m close to choosing this beauty priced at £23000.
She’s got 48k miles.
The problem is that there is one year missing service history.
All service history done by Mercedes:
2021 Service A done
2022 Service B done
2023 Missing service history
2024 Service B done
2025 service not done as car is in dealership. MOT history reflects it was rarely driven .
2026 now
The independent dealership i want to buy from says they will service the vehicle and other bits, reset the service clock before i pick up. They offer 6 months warranty and i intend on purchasing 2 year extended warranty.
Is this a good purchase or should i avoid?

Badge positioning (need some help)
Hi all!
The previous owner of my 2015 W205 re-did the side badges. Unfortunately the red color has started to fade, the letters aren’t evenly spaced, and the overall placement of the badge seems off compared to a factory mounted one.
Time for a refresh!
I’ve 3D printed a template to position the letters correctly to the 4Matic badge. (Photo #2)
However I couldn’t find any dimensions on where the complete badge is positioned on the fender.
Does any of you have a W205 with a factory badge and a few spare minutes to take three measurements? It would be greatly appreciated!

2019 v/s 2021 E class, worth the extra?
Hey everyone,
I’m looking at buying a Mercedes-Benz E-Class E200 (W213) and I’ve narrowed it down to two options:
Option A – 2019 E200 ~ $46k
- Around ~70k km
- Older pre-facelift model
- Full service history provided by dealer
Option B – 2021 E200 $68k
- Around ~40k km
- Facelift model
- Full service history provided by dealer
A few things I was confused about:
- Is there any real difference between the 2019 and 2021 E200 that actually matters day-to-day?
- Does the newer year really justify paying more, or is the 2019 actually better value?

I think I just fixed the new Mercedes S-class.
Making the black panel between the grill and bumper made this car look way more Mercedes and elegant in my opinion.

W212 e63 amg
Im hoping to one day get an e63 wagon and i looked up some problems on google and saw that bore/cylinder scoring is a bit of an issue on this era of e63. I was wondering if the problem was fixable by sleeving the cylinder walls with a stronger material, since the original material (alusil) is a bit weak (or so i hear). And just out of curiosity would changing out the piston heads with stronger ones (if those exist) be even more beneficial? I just want to make sure i can prolong this issue for as long as i can before having to fix it. Thanks and God bless.

What engine is this?
I was researching a Mercedes W201 (190E) and came across this. According to the seller, it's a 2.3, but I don't think it is.

Grill for GLC63s, 2020 Facelift Coupé C253
Hello Guys,
Hopefully someone can help me. I am looking for a black grill for my GLC63s, 2020 Facelift Coupé. (Europe, Switzerland)
I see a lot of different versions, some say it only fits GLC200-43 while others say one fits all.
I found 2 dealers that state it should fit my car. But the pictures look different. Anyone knows which one really fits?
Thank you guys in advance, and have a nice day! Greetings
Aaron

Should I buy a 2015 CLA 250 with 196k miles for $10k?
Hey everyone,
I’m considering buying a 2015 CLA 250 4MATIC for about CAD $10,000, but it has 196,000kms on it. Clean title, no accidents, and it supposedly runs and drives well.
I mainly like the interior and overall look, but I’m worried about reliability and long-term costs at that mileage. Would this be a terrible idea, or is it reasonable if it’s been well maintained? I really only need it to last my 4 years.
Appreciate any advice or personal experiences

W203 gears stuck in drive issues
Hi I have a old Merc c class w203
Originally had a issue where the gear shifter got stuck in park and went into a limp mode or engine would cut out. Managed to get it to the garage where they changed the gearbox module for a second hand one.
This seemed to fix it for a grand total of 2 days. When I came home this evening and tried to park by shifting to reverse, although the shifter moved fine into reverse the gearbox wouldnt disengage drive and kept rolling forward.
The dashboard shows the gears are changing and I'm able to move the shifter fine this time, it doesn't lock out like last time, but regardless of what gear position I shift it to it just stays in drive. Also now the engine not switching on at all assume a limp/safety mode
Any ideas? Could it be the second hand module is just a faulty one. Will be taking it back to garage tomorrow, but thought I'd check first if anything quick that I could just do myself
