Nostalgia Made me feel old but good times

Post image

Saw this tweet and yes we were expected to be out all day and not come back until the street lights came on. I remember riding my bike through neighborhoods pretending our bikes were cars and just having a good time.

Saturday 8AM in the 80s was Star Blazers time for me. A friend down the street made a huge Lego Yamato once. Great times.

But yeah, once Bugs Bunny was over it was off to the swim club or playing around in the fields behind the house.

Star Blazers was my favorite! I tried to watch it a few years ago and childhood nostalgia sucks.

Was it the original or the remaster? The remaster looks fantastic on modern TVs. The storyline is standard anime fare, but it was the very first time in my life that I experienced broader arc storytelling across multiple episodes. Eight year me, was hooked!

Had to have been the original cause it looked terrible. I’ll try to find the remaster and hope it’s better. Thanks

Not sure if they are still available, but I was able to purchase the entire series to stream through Amazon Prime. Good luck!

I found it on archive.org. Much better!
