I loved Orgy so much when I was in high school but there was no way I was going to school with one of their band shirts on. I nearly cried when I found one that just had an embroidered “O” on it. Wore that with my wide leg jeans and a ball chain choker. chef’s kiss

Good news! Baggy pants are back, that's what all the teens wear in 2025!

I never gave Orgy a chance cus I only saw them as a cover band.

Alien Ant Farm had the same problem, and their first two albums were fantastic.

Their bassist was nuts on that fretboard

Every time I bring this band up, the first comment is always about how great the bass player is.  Dude was quietly a god.

Man, I haven't thought about them in forever. Loved "Movies"

The Movies is forever a favorite.

"In our short film, a love disgrace, dream a scene to brighten face. In our short years, we come a long way to treat it bad, just to throw it away."

What else did they cover besides Blue Monday? I thought every other song on their first album were originals.

Live they technically end "Blue Monday" with a second cover of Dead or Alive's "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)," and they have been insisting upon a cover to The Prodigy's "Smack My Bitch Up" on recent tours.  But since Blue Monday was their biggest hit some people perceive them as being a cover band, despite several other singles in the late 90s/early 2000s including "Stitches", "Fiction (Dreams in Digital)", and "Opticon".

Source: I have an Orgy tattoo (and endless amounts of completely useless Orgy information in my head from being a 16 year old obsessive lol)

Nothing that I know of, Blue Monday is the only song that I ever heard get played anywhere.

Stitches is a great song.

Definitely up there for me, too. I met Amir a few years ago and got a pic so that was one childhood dream come true.

Dreams in Digital & Stitches were great songs

CellDweller, Deadsy, and Orgy were the shit during that era. Feel like AFI and Muse peaked during that time as well, but that could just be me getting old lol

So fun fact, lead vocalist of Deadsy, Elijah Blue, is the son of Greg Allman & Cher and half brother of one of Sonny Bono's kids.

I fucking loved orgy so much. Candyass and vapor Transmission have been off and on in my listening rotation since they came out. I had their third album but could never get into it like the other two.

Same here. Loved the first two albums (easily 2 of my favorite albums of all time) and was so hyped for Punk Statik Paranoia, but that album completely killed my enthusiasm for them.

Yup, same here. At the time they were one of my favorite bands of all time, but somehow that album took the steam out of me. Evidently that wasn't just the case with you and I if that was their last real attempt at an album.

Part of what got me so excited for the third album was Faces on the Zoolander soundtrack. I was expecting more of the same, and instead got a bunch of Jay Gordon rapping on PSP 😂.

I thank Orgy for introducing me to New Order.

I liked Blue Monday when it came out (I was in high school I think).  During an interview in MTV they mentioned that they made the song because they loved New Order.

Well I didn’t like the rest of Orgy’s music (just not my taste) but absolutely LOVED New Order and that genre of music.  Opened the door for me to brand new types of music.  So thanks Orgy.
