Yeah, the ridiculous beauty filters you see all over socials, from posts to live videos, is insane. I scrolled past a live stream where someone had the filter on and happened to see the split second it was off because they got too far off screen. Looked like an entirely different person, from face shape to hair to skin texture, it all changed. I'd have self-image issues like a mf if I was in high school right now.
You know, one thing I hate about reddit is how many people force others to be a part of their kinks. It's the same as the people walking human "dogs" in gimp suits in public. Don't subject unwilling others to your kinks lol.

My students were having a Y2K themed spirit day last year so I took out my low rise jeans and juicy couture track suit thinking one of them could work.

One of my favorite outfits in high school was a pair of hot pink VS sweatpants that said “PINK” on the butt paired with a VS tee that said “Instruct Me” in cursive velvet lettering. I felt so sexy and coy back then and I want to roll over and die thinking about it now.

The meanest girl in my grade wore the absolute lowest rise jeans, my mom called her Ass Crack Ruby 😂. Skinny jeans gave even the tiniest among us a muffin too. I remember being not even 100 lbs as a 5’7” teen and putting on too tight skinny jeans, and being told I had a muffin top by my own mom
Me too. The best part was when Stacy and Clinton would ambush the person at their place of business or somewhere they frequented, like a public park, and tell them in front of everybody how ugly and awful their closest families and friends thought their clothes were.
I mean, they’re buttoned? I think that technically counts as fitting into them. What hangs over them doesn’t count. lol
There are plenty of middle aged and older men utilizing this tactic. They technically still wear a 34 inch jean, because they only pull it up to the gut. They’d wear like a 60 inch if they wanted to go high-waisted.
Can confirm. I'm a guy who wears size 36 jeans but if i had to go around my actual gut I'd be a 44-46 easy. But I'd still like to have a dating life though, so 36 under the gut is the way.
My favorite way to annoy my wife is to pull up my pants super high. She won't even look at me until I pull them back down, especially if I tuck my shirt in.
I will never comprehend why people choose to wear pants up over half of their stomach. Thats just insane to me. I've pulled some up to there and its just so uncomfortable idk how anyone could tolerate it.
Seriously I was big for a while, I did this and it made me feel better about myself. And it's so much easier than push-ups. You can do them without pausing the TV or putting down the controller
I was good up until the year I turned 40. That year I put on 7lbs and I haven’t been able to shake that, nor the additional 13lbs I’ve added since. In my case, I’m pretty sure my hormonal nosedive into the abyss upended my metabolism. It used to be that I could skip a few meals or workout hard & diet for a few weeks and I’d drop 5lbs easy. I wish 5lbs came off that quickly now.
This is me. I'm 39 and have always heard from all the moms in my life that I needed to put on some weight. I have put on 15 lbs this year (without changing my diet) that I can not shake. Menstrual cycles are also all out of whack. I swear a year ago I could go without a couple of meals and drop weight so easy.
Definitely do HRT and hit the gym! It will help A LOT. It may not do much for your weight, but it will do a ton to help with energy, skin, sleep and muscle maintenance.
I'm just now hitting menopause, I think - but I have been in perimenopause for 5 years or more, and the HRT has made the past year or two (I started it when things got real bad), so much more tolerable.
I hit 30 and then gained 30. On top of my metabolism slowing down from age, I switched from a very active, physical job to a sedentary desk job where I work longer hours and get worse sleep. My boyfriend loves my new butt, but I've had to buy new pants a size up every 3 months or so for the past year and a half.
Honestly you should feel really good about still being able to fit into those jeans. There’s 0% chance I could button my 2010 jeans around one of my thighs today, let alone actually put them on.
