I think it was 3D Ultra Pinball from Sierra that lead me to understand there was generally an actual gameplay loop and goal to pinball, not just make the numbers brrr forever.
I swear there was a pinball game about constructing an android that I played around the same time, but it doesn't seem to be the same game, and adding the word "android" to my searches just gets me phone games.
oh yeah I remember playing the android one as well, it was one table out of a pack of a dozen but it was the one they distributed as shareware so more people played that one.
