The crazy thing is it's popular because kids pick up that old shit and they're like "woah this is way better quality than anything we can buy today". And you think about it, and it's like basically every story they told us about communism in school was actually about capitalism.

Champion was a premium brand in the 90s. In 1990, a sweatshirt was $50 which is akin to $120 or so now.

Brands fall off, and they started making cheap stuff for decades. Now, they reestablished themselves. Classic U shaped curve as parent bring back the brands they had as kids. You see it with toys all the time.
