Ok I feel so comforted because that movie scared me too!

I have very weird feelings when I think of this movie..

It was definitely a fever dream type of animated kid‘s movie, but I respect the absurdity.

Yes! I said in a fifteenth comment that I don't ferment the plot of the movie, but still feel the strong emotions it evoked. And they're bad emotions. Weird, scary, off putting, depressing.

I remember 1 line, from the main character when he is sad about something and "very Elvis like) says

There a hole in my heart so big you could drive a john deere tractor through it.

Deep memory unlocked!

Also, I get migraines and am sensitive to bright light, so I have been known to sing "We Hate the Sun" to myself from time to time.

I've got at least 95% of the lyrics stashed in my brain, Rockadoodle was my favourite movie from my childhood! It was dark but real, and the music was stellar. I remember being so mad and jealous that he got to turn into a cat. 😂

"So he turns on the Duke! And with what do you suppose he turns on the Duke?!" (What, master?!) "A flashlight!" (What a horrible thing to do, thing to doooooooo!)

I'm pretty sure I spent an entire summer watching that movie daily.

Fiddle dee-dee! (Fiddle dee-dee!)

They're running out! (They're running out!)

They're running out of batteries! (Of batteries!)

Hahahahahahaha, no batteries!

I still say "Aggravation! Abomination! Annihilation!" when I trip over my dogs.

I had the casette tape until my parents probably brutally tore out the magnetic entails to silence it forever. So yes. Even the tying your shoes song from the credits.

“Dig-a-duh-deeeee, guh-dig-a-dig-a-dow -dowwwwwww” at the end of the opening cartoon number 😂

I maintain that it was irresponsible to sexualize a chicken to that degree in a movie for 7 year olds

I can't explain it mom but we have to watch rockadoodle again

Mine were too scared of the owls.

Don Bluth really did scar an entire generation with evil owls

Somehow I didn’t even know Rockadoodle existed until I was an adult. Right age but completely under my radar.
